dispair is a challenging brainteaser, in which it depends on finding out a given order of letters (colours) within a minimum of attempts (within as few attempts as possible).
Thereto distance (dis) and neighbourhood (pair) information can be used.
dispair offers several levels (number of fields for letters/colours) and demands a high degree of combination ability in higher levels:
Level 4: for an easy introduction
Level 5: for a quick success
Level 6: for a rough challenge
Level 7: an exceptional challenge
Level 8: for 'hard core' dispair players
So dispair is considerably more ambitious than comparable games in brainteaser sector.
Experience and intuition grow with the number of played dispair games, comparable to Chess or Sudoku.
Since version 2.7 especially the two game modes 'beginner's mode' and 'professional mode' are emphasized.
'beginner's mode' allows you to play a game more easily and may be with more fun on basis of arbitrary 'trial and error' attempts.
'professional mode' is for players who like to position themselves to big challenges to get a clear confirmation for their combination abilities and mental concentration power.
Emphasizing the two playing modes explicitly makes dispair since version 2.7 a really well rounded brainteaser with a potential to reach the Sudoku degree of popularity.
dispair still is available only on Apple devices.
dispair offers a simulation facility for each play variation in 'professional mode'.
During a game a suitability check can be executed for each solution attempt.
Initially dispair 3.0 is again a free 'sniff version' (only level 4 can be played, all other levels offered for simulation). Starting with version 2.6 you can buy additional levels for playing.
Starting with version 2.0.0 you can save your game results in Internet and compare your results with other dispair players. Additionally you can view each listed dispair game optically by clicking the link in a ranking list row (see Marketing URL).
What's New in Version 3.0.2
3.0: Some more unser interface embellishments and in particular implementation of notification popups.
3.0.1: Pictures in App Store correction.
3.0.2: One small user guide correction and change of start screen from playing field to entry screen.
Well done brain puzzle game where you have to find the letters hidden form you and guess the order of these letters. I would be grateful to dev if they could make better game rules so it makes clear how to play. Apart from that app is really cool and makes you think a lot so I do like it)
