When to file a Dispatch
In the lull moments of an ongoing adventure. As you travel to the next destination. At halftime. Slack tide. Dusk. When something has happened, and something else is about to happen. When you reach a still pool in the fast river. When there's more to come, but much to report. Details that will not be remembered after the next event, but should not be forgotten.

Where to file a Dispatch
From the hotel bar. At a sidewalk cafe. On the steps of a museum. A street corner. The summit. Near the action but briefly away from it.

How to file a dispatch
Add a page per event. Keep the pages lean. Select images from your Camera Roll. The best ones. Turn on your camera geo tagging.

Now the text. What makes the moment unique. Not visual detail, that's in the pictures. How the events in those images, in that context, happened. What you noticed. What you thought. The ideas that emerged. Dictate the text if you won't be overheard. Type otherwise. Words, ideas, a sentence, a paragraph. Not more. What you know you will forget but must remember.

Now the layout. The built-in templates are beautiful and fast. Find the one that suits that page, that specific event best. Sometimes a single image with text captures the story, other times multiple pictures serve. Images that a template hides will still be available to your readers.

Publish and share if the page completes the dispatch, otherwise hold off until the next event has unfolded. Before publication, make sure your cover reflects the total of your Dispatch. Find the most critical image or images from the Dispatch and use those. This cover is what your distant readers will see first and always, now and in the future.

Total time, maybe three minutes per page. A bit more if you must type. Less if you're an old hand and can dictate. More than five minutes and you're likely wordsmithing.

Reading your Dispatches
Your Dispatches are advanced interactive digital magazines. Read the text. The text links the images and provides observations on what made this page, this event, unique. Finally, if you have been able to resist this far, look at the pictures. Tap one to see it in full size, tap again to close. Tap on "Articles" to see location based Wikipedia entries that add context and location background to your own experiences.
