A safe, creative community for kids
DIY is a really awesome and safe community for kids. First of all I would like to say that the moderators are super nice, but not only do they make sure that kids are safe and away from bullies, they also really like to help inspire the kids by giving advice, and commenting on their posts. The other kids on DIY are nice, and very well mannered- it is very very rare to see someone being bullied. If someone is bullied though, they get reported fairly quickly. The website/ app provides lots of skills for kids to learn, and as a member of DIY, I can definitely say that I have learned so much that I can use later down the road. It teaches kids to grow and learn through each other and help others along the way. Lastly, I would like to say that the way the website/ app is built is very good. When you go onto the website, you can see your passions and skills that your good at based on what skills you learn. You can also set asides things you'd like to learn in your to do list. Other than a few slight glitches with the app, it's a great place for kids to learn and grow. And again, As a member for about a year and a half, I totally recommend this 👍
Best app for kids ever!
This app is great! Once installed, you can say goodbye to bored afternoons! I love the variety of challenges and the contests. Especially the contests! They keep everything interesting. Another thing I like about the app is the mods and the support system. The mods are always really quick to delete something offensive and offer advice and praise to kids. When I first emailed a question I had to the "help section" I was not expecting to get feedback for days, weeks, or even months. But, surprise, surprise! The next day an answer arrived in my inbox and my curiosity was satisfied. I just have to say, wow! The community at DIY is great and I have met many fun people who share my interests. DIY is a really nice place for kids to connect. Now, of course there are a few bugs. I often have trouble posting videos over a minute long, and sometimes the app will freeze up or not open. But, all in all, I think DIY is a great app and any kid with a creative mind and some time on their hands should get this app. Happy crafting!
Amazing, beautiful, and inspiring! But bugs dim the experience.
This is an amazing opportunity for kids of all ages to delve into things they never thought they could. It's a great way to get kids exited for things that will one day sculpt their future. They'll be looking for job openings and they'll be capable of thinking "Hey, DIY taught me to do that!" But then there are bugs. Many of the times, whenever I press "return" it gives me a "/n" could you fix that? It's getting on my nerves, ruining the effects of many descriptions and comments. Also, I am getting none of my notifications. I have deleted and reinstalled the app, and I have edited my notifications. It's not just me with problems.
