* Produce a sharp image by our image enhancement technology *
DocScan lets you instantly scan multi-pages document and send out when there is no scanner nearby. By having it, you can scan not only documents in sight, but also whiteboards, receipts, business cards, posters, coupons, books ...etc.
It can fast auto-detect document edges from a picture, correct perspective distortion, remove shadows and brighten it up to produce a clear and sharp document, especially useful in a Low-Light environment.
You can draw lines or annotate on the scanned image anytime.
When you have a long list of documents, it is easy to use folders for organizing documents: create, delete, rename, and move documents between folders. You can also use password to protect documents in a folder from unauthorized view.
In-app fax sending is convenient especially when you are out of office or have no fax machine at all.
You can receive a push notification when a fax is sent succesffuly or failed for what reason.
Each PDF file can be accessed directly from iTunes or WiFi file sharing by tapping on the "Generate PDFs" button or the "WiFi file sharing" button in the settings screen. You can also email documents out as PDF or JPEG files.
Other ways to export documents:
- Fax documents to over 100 countries instantly (cost calculated by the number of pages and recipient country and paid via in-app purchase).
- Print documents via AirPrint.
- Save documents to Photo Albums.
- "Open In" Other Apps, i.e. iBooks, Kindle, …etc.
More options to export documents in Pro version:

- Support export to Dropbox.
- Support export to Evernote.
- Support export to Box.
- Support export to OneDrive.
- Support export to Google Drive with OCR (Optical Character Recognition) option.

Tip: For best edge detection, please place your documents in high contrast to the background, i.e. put your white paper on a dark table.

Happily Surprised with Functionality
I've been using the free version of this app for about 3 months and it has made my life SO much easier! I wish I knew about it sooner. I can't compare to other similar apps because I haven't used them but I did spend a lot of time trying to decide whether to use this one of others. I don't even need to use a regular scanner anymore since I usually only deal with documents that are 8 pages or less. It was easy to get started but not entirely intuitive. But in a rush, I was able to use it to do what I needed to even if the folder functionality became confusing for documents I chose to scan later. You definitely need to experiment with it by emailing scanned documents to yourself first and then confirming that all pages are in the attachment. You should also experiment with all of the different scanning choices. The app doesn't make mistakes, there's just an art to figuring out how to use it most effectively. A user guide would be helpful. For some reason, I couldn't access it. I highly recommend DocuScan but not for critical documents that must be scanned and sent in a rush. You should really play with it first to get the best results. But perhaps the other apps are like that as well. The DocuScan app itself works very quickly. It's been a lifesaver for me.
only fixes curves on two sides
I've tried five different scanning apps, and this one has the clearest documents by far. Unfortunately, sometimes a corner or two of the original is curved or bent, causing adjacent sides to need correction. I'll submit in a five star review if they ever have an update that allows me to adjust all four sides of a document. I looked at upgrading to the pro version, but the photos of the app are identical, so I do not think that the update will help. I like that I can choose between pdf or jpg and that there are options for where I can save/share the documents. I've never had any difficulty with faxing from the app. I like that the auto-correct edge function can be user-adjusted, but I really need that function on all four side for many of my papers.
Most useful 3rd party app I have
This app is by far the most used app on my phone aside from the texting app and safari. I use it extensively to create PDF's from images, import docs/images from emails, export to emails, export to photo library and most importantly to create flat images/PDFs out of distorted or skewed source images. I also commonly use it to edit or write on PDFs/images prior to converting to PDF. Seriously thanks for this app!
