DolfBall is an “air hockey” type game, fun for people and animals alike.
Named after Firstborn Senior Developer, DoflBall meshes the iPad’s touchscreen capabilities with engaging gameplay. Dofl and the Firstborn team created this simple “air hockey” type game where players fling a “ball” back and forth across the screen, holding down two fingers to create a deflection. Participants can play with a friend or against the app. Dofl even enlisted his cat to be a test subject—while she didn’t totally understand the rules it proved to be a great way to keep Dof’s furry friend entertained for hours.

Surprisingly simple and fun
(I lost my first review in an undo bug on the iPad itunes app, so apologies for duplicates if the other ends up coming through).
The low ratings for this app so far are mystifying. Perhaps it's based on the fact that the game is so simple, and therefore does not tend to create hours of continuous entertainment.
But that's also why it's good. As far as I can tell, it's a rare thing in a game: clever and actually new.
It's a simple pong-y game, where there's a new and intuitive way of controlling the paddle. Plus, you can play against your pets. How could people not love this?
Most importantly, though, this is a great 2-person game, and that's a thin field. It's something you could pick up in 15 seconds with a friend who had never played it before when you're stuck waiting.
It feels petty to rebut other people's clearly petty reviews, but I have to point out that a previous reviewer was offended by the tame, semi-amusing, mildly caustic insults that the game sends you when you miss a ball. I'll let that speak for itself, but scroll back to read it for amusement.
Well, 1 out of 3 times the ball passes directly through my line which is vey annoying. I gave this game 3 Stars because: it's free and I really like the overall look/feel of the game. Please try to address the sporadic gameplay.
Needs ipod music
This is a fun take on pong, but we need to be able to listen to ipod music!
