Worst Mobile Banking App Out There
I’ve used other mobile banking apps and this is by far, without question, the absolute worst banking app out there. There’s no Touch/Face ID? It’s almost 2019. They took a few steps backwards with this last “update”. One glaring one is the ability to see the balance in your checking or savings account AS you’re making a transfer to another account. That’s a pretty important (and basic) piece of information to have available to someone so they know how much is in the account they’re making a transfer from. This was available in the old app, not in the new app. Again.. it’s almost 2019.. why wouldn’t that be in your app? That should be in the app even if this was 2008. I am highly disappointed in this app. It’s one of the worst designed financial/banking apps I’ve used yet. It’s either laziness or unbelievably poor planning and research when designing the app.
Considering the hoopla over the introduction of the new Dollar Bank app, this is disappointing! Unfortunately for you, many of us use other banks / institutions software and are having a much better experience with your competitors apps. Finger print recognition is minimally a must. Either this is a bone that you throw out there just to say you have an online banking app or your developers are not provided the proper tools to give your customers a good experience. In either case, this is poor customer service. I’m confident that your lagging in this area is causing you to lose or at least dissuade customers from doing business with you. I used to run an IT department for a major corporation and this would not be acceptable.
Really need to step it up!
I love what Dollar Bank stands for, been with them for over 30 years, but their app needs a lot of improvement! They need to look at Citi and even Clearview app to see how to do an app right! This last push is terrible, very slow & down a lot with terrible verbiage as to why. When you try to pay bills, it doesn’t even display the available balance of the account you are trying to pay from! I am assuming they use in house to develop this, I’d suggest hiring a firm to design & develop a new app. If I wasn’t already a long time customer I think this app would be reason enough to bank elsewhere. Please fix this!
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
