Ratings and Reviews
I almost hate to admit that pizza delivery is rather a staple for us, but we do really love our pizza here. And we have for decades. We were avid PJ’s customers for a long time, tried PH, even tried The $5 Little Caesar thing a few times. Dominoes was, for close to a generation, lost to us. Several years back, maybe 7 or so they started a campaign to revamp everything, from food and menu, to ingredients, to delivery methods, and even customer service. We waited a few years for all of it to really sink in, you know, let the new changes really take a hold of every store, every manager, every employee, and every locale before we gave them a shot, because they for us, they were trapped in haze of horrendous mediocrity. I’ve waited a while to write this review, but we are now regular orderers from Dominoes. Their sauce is explosive with flavor, it’s actually a marinara, their multitude of crust possibilities are all delicious and flaky or bread- like, whichever you you prefer, all are buttery and beautiful, as they should be, their ingredients are pure, bold and fresh every time, and the delivery is always on time, with hot fresh food that’s good to go. I’m so glad they revamped and turned things around, because for us, and my family, it’s a win. Great job Dominoes, stellar food, great service, great delivery. Way to make a comeback.
Had to remove a star...
This app used to be a five star piece of technology. Recently, they’ve made it to where I can’t see who is cooking my food. I liked this. Besides the obvious argument for quality control this feature provides, it also let me know when Facundo was cooking my pizza. At my local Dominos in Jacksonville, my pizza chef is 90% of the time named Facundo. This dude takes pride in his work. I can tell. His pizzas are amazing pieces of work. Pepperonis perfectly space around the pizza; crust always exceptionally consistent in both diameter and doneness. Facundo could be a true example for any Dominos employees, but I believe most don’t care enough to have an example to look up to (based on the 10% of my orders that weren’t cooked by Facundo). Anyway, bring this feature back because whenever Facundo was my cook I would thank him for making my dinner. I always tell my friends that if I open a pizza parlor one day, the first thing I’m going to do is walk in there and poach him off of Dominos’ hands and make him my head chef. Anyway. I hope this review makes it back to him somehow. I’d be more specific of the location he works, but I feel that’s a violation of his privacy. If you ever read this, Facundo, you’re the man. ‘Thank you for making my dinner.’ A million times. So long <3
Best gluten free pizza around
Dominos has impressed me over the years because they improved both their food and their entire franchise operation. The best thing about them however in my opinion is their gluten free pizza crust, because I need to be on a gluten free diet. (Please note that people with celiac disease still can’t eat Dominos pizza since it’s still made in the vicinity of wheat crust pizza.) I live in a small town rural area, and when the only two places that deliver are Dominos and a Chinese food place, you want to be able to have delicious food that you can eat while being GF. Dominos provides both. I ordered from them the first time out of necessity, but have ordered their GF pizza many times since then. I wish that they made GF pizzas that were bigger than 10”, but that is a very minor issue. Let me add that I lived in Chicago for 30 years and have eaten many gluten free pizzas from different restaurants, so saying Dominos is the best I have ever tasted is saying something. The rest of the family love their bread twists, cheesy bread and desserts, and their wings are also excellent. I highly recommend them to everyone!
