Don't break the chain is the concept of accomplishing things on a daily basis. If you have something you’d like to create a habit of doing every day, mark an X on a calendar each day you do it. After you’ve accumulated a few X’s, you won’t want to break the visual chain you’ve created.
- Figure out your goals. Start with no more than two, and add next goal after three weeks if you can handle it. Typical goal can be "Write", "Code, "Work", "Exercise", "Clean", "Stop Smoking" or anything else that is important to you.
- Set daily minimums for each goal. Things like "I will run one mile" or "I will put away 10 stray items" work better than setting a time limit.
- Set your boundaries and rules. Because this process expects you to work every single day, you have to figure out what you're going to do when you're sick, on vacation, or just find yourself in a situation where you won't be accomplishing your goal that day but don't deserve the punishment of a broken chain. Don't break the chain app allows you to skip day if you really need to do that, without breaking the chain.
- Monitor your progress. As soon as you finish one daily activity, use bottom color bar to check off activity for that day. You can use different colors to color-code different daily progress.

Great for traditional "don't break the chain" users
If you're looking for a standard "Don't Break The Chain" app, then this fits the bill.
It allows you to track across multiple calendars so that different habits can be recorded. You can also use different colors (seven I think) to mark each calendar, this helps differentiate each habit.
I have a few problems though, but really their personal preferences.
I prefer too see all my habits on one calendar. I do this on my own hand made calendar using colored markers, which makes a rainbow. Something like this would be great to see.
I also would like to see a weekly marker, I use a vertical line on my calendar to do this.
Basically it works great for general use, but could use some customization options.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
