The levels are detailed and big full of secrets and monsters! Just wish the sprites an textures could be more ...less gritty and more resolution ,but very very fun tons of levels and the settings are great you can customize the controlls to how you want them to be. It's a great FPS classic shooter but my only complaint is they should be more original in other words the monsters are too similar to doom especially in there AI and attacks plus te guns are just a re masked version of doom guns /:/ but the levels make up for that ;)
A way to wait out Doom 2
Doomsday: Hellraiser is actually a take on the popular open source Doom mod Freedoom. Just like Doom it features about the same amount of levels scattered over a series of episodes, as well as a similar weapon setup. A new soundtrack is put in place of the old style Doom music, so the game sounds a little new but looks pretty old like Doom, jsut maybe not as good as the original per se. Overall if you want to experience more Classic Doom this is likely the next best way since Doom 2 is taking a long time to show up (it might not show up at all.)
Doom on the iPod is, to me, the ultimate gaming experience. Doomsday is a wonderful (and inexpensive!) way to further the love! Gameplay is almost identical to the original (doors open automatically in Doomsday where one would physically open them in Doom: that's about the only difference I've noticed), and while the baddies you kill are similar in capabilities, it's cool to fight different-looking ones: Doomsday's version of Pinky is particularly great! Thanks for such a great game at a great price!!
