"My experience is what I agree to attend to."
Need help staying focused? Maintaining calm? Keeping attentive? Trouble getting control of your concentration or staying in a balanced frame of mind? Struggling with ADHD or ADD? DotOut can really help. In 2009, a group of meditators and non-meditators were asked by neuroscientists to stare at a dot while their brains were scanned. The results were astounding. Meditators were able to reduce the "chattering" from disparate areas of their brains while increasing activity in structures responsible for focus and concentration. They achieved what is called "Gamma Synchrony", and at a very powerful level. We bring this simple, but extremely effective, exercise to you. Get focus and clarity in your life, your work, your relationships, and in your simple day to day activities. Get DotOut.
A minute, 2, 3, 4, 5? What is having more control of your days and weeks worth to you? Gaining the ability to concentrate on what matters. Learning to have the focus necessary to complete your work. Developing the ability to enjoy your life wholeheartedly. Get DotOut.
Stare calmly, breathe regularly, think nothing, and forget everything. Make this the center of your perception. Try to increase the time each day. When done, we give you a haiku, a koan, or just a simple quote to leave your mind open
We've found that even 1 minute has a benefit on your current task. 10-20 minutes will give you a boost that can last all day. And a 30 minute interval is equivalent to an actual session of formal meditation.
To keep it fresh, adjust the dot size, the dot color, or the background color. But by simply maintaining this practice you should begin to desire a longer duration as the benefits increase with duration and frequency.
it refreshes my mind
This simple app seems to help me clear up my mind. I use this whenever my mind gets overwhealmed by a lot of things going on at the same time. The quotes at the end are cool.
Helps me think
This really works. I was stuck staring at my computer screen took a quick break to stare at the dot and it refocused me great. Simple and effective.
