Fun, but GMT is not so nice.

It's really a fun little game. Unfortunately, It's far too challenging to view some items in anything but a pitch black room with the screen turned on high, the game engines give extremely poor rewards and outcomes (I've literally been trying to unlock the landing for the last six months, no joke) and the game's "midnight" is locked into GMT instead of local. There are no contests so there seems to be no reason.
As each day you get a cumulative reward for logging in, this is a bit horrible. I've personally been in it for 40 and 50+ days (rewards of 4,000 and 5,100 daily) and then logged in at 7pm or just after local time and had to start back at 100. More than a month's pattern lost due to non-local timing.
It's irritating enough every time it happens to effectively stop me from playing for a few days.
The story line, I'll be honest; was nice, but the game's engines have kept me from advancing for so very long that I've lost the thread of it.
I simply don't believe it was ever meant to be played through.

Disappointing

Initially I enjoyed this game. I played through to level 30 on my phone but have lost interest in continuing now. It took forever to "find" the required number of things to unlock Edith's room and now the pantry is worse. I did not sync the game between devices as I play only free versions of games. It always crashes on my older model iPad. Other games and apps do not do this so I'm feel sure it is the game. This game is in serious need of an update. I realize the series has ended but there are a good many fans still out there. I will be deleting it from my iPad since it is impossible to play without it crashing at least once or twice and loosing energy before the 100 in the bank has been expended. Also, 22 energy per search is not a good choice. It would be better if it were 20 or even better if it were less than that. It is also frustrating when you "make" something and collect it and it the game give you energy when the energy bank is full.

Fun but... Abandoned?

The game has nice graphics and challenging and play. I don't think there has been an update in months though.. Since the tv series is done, it's probable this game is "done" too.

Some quirks: the inventory is very small and you really have no idea what items to keep. The "sell" option is pretty badly done, often there's nothing you can sell, but refreshing the game may change it. After level 30 there's no incentive at all to get a fast/high score, as long as you finish before time is out. The "mystery" plot does not make any sense and doesn't proceed logically, it's just random quotes - would be nicer if there was some progression/goal and s big finish after upgrading all rooms and doing all quests.. But no. :-(
