Drafts is the quick, easy way to capture and share text. In Drafts, text comes first – open the app and get a new, blank draft – ready to type. Don't get bogged down in a timeline to tweet or post to Facebook. Don't tap your way through multiple screens to get down an email or SMS. Don't navigate folders, create files and name them just to jot down a note or create a todo.

Extensive output options let you send text to Twitter, Facebook, Mail, Message, a Calendar event, quickly save (or prepend/append) to Dropbox, Google Drive or Evernote and much more. Advanced multi-step actions and Javascript integration can combine all of these options in a single tap and more. Drafts can make any workflow shine!

It just works.

Day in day out it sits on my home screen, ready to do my bidding. It never fails to deliver. It's easy to take for granted. Then it shows you a new surprise - it's dictation function a week ago for me - and I just go, "Wow. You've done it again. Why can't every app function so well? With no bells and whistles." Get this app and use it for whatever text you need. And it'll get you where you want to go. Nice job Agile Tortoise.

Program your notes

This is my most heavily used app by a mile, lives on my dock.

Workflows are extremely powerful, send your notes off to most apps for long term organization and alternative views.

But even if I were limited to one app for writing, this would have almost everything I need.

I admit, I don't get it

I bought this app because people I respect rave about it, but it doesn't float my boat.

I understand the general idea- it's the equivalent of a pocket notepad, where you jot down ideas as soon as they occur to you, and sort them (in a semi-automated way) later. Problem is, I don't think that way. Even in the paper world, I knew in general where a note ought to go, and that's where I put it.

I find the "new sheet every time you open the app" feature annoying, so I turned it off. Frankly, I use Siri for "things to do" reminders, and the final target app or Evernote for everything else. And for use as a Markdown editor, I'd rather use Editorial.

It's not that it's a bad app--it just fits a niche I don't have. Meh.
