Experience Wood Firing in a Dragon Kiln
If you’re at all interested in pottery, this app is for you!
It's all about the ancient method of firing clay pieces in a wood-fired kiln. Wood firing has been practiced for thousands of years. In Asia, it's done in "dragon kilns", so-called because of their shape and, of course, the fire!
Partly because of the unique finish that wood firing imparts to the clay pieces, wood firing is still practiced today. The app highlights the Thow Kwang Dragon Kiln, one of only two remaining dragon kilns in Singapore.
Rich in multimedia content: text, photos, videos, and interactive exhibits, the app includes an interesting tutorial on the process of making a pot.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
