☆ Reviews ☆
“What I like most of all about Dark Flight, however, is its message. Here’s a game about helping people in need, for no other reason than that they are in need. And it’s about helping those people not through violence – with swords or guns or big veiny fists – but instead with art, and music, and craftsmanship. It’s an absolute celebration of creativity, and all the magic that comes with it. That the game is so unequivocally and consistently creative itself just seals the deal.” - Lewis Denby, Beefjack.com
“Gorgeous, whimsical scenery will draw you into Dark Flight’s living world of art and imagination…” - 4/5 Adventure Gamers
“It’s perfectly sculpted from beginning to end, crafting a story that’s intriguing, gameplay that never ceases to be interesting, and an overall experience that will leave you satisfied but ready for more. Easily one of the best casual adventure games ever released.” - Jayis Games

What's New in Version 1.3

Another design masterwork...
As in the first chapter, it will be the design and graphic achievement that makes DRAWN memorable and worth your time and investment.
This second installment is heavier on interaction than the first episode. There's a disparity in styles that feels less "less of a piece" than PaintedTower. Some areas feel like they were ported over from another game design and thrown in. Overall this does not distract from the experience but it does feel odd given the unique and unified vision for the previous game.
After all is said and played, the Drawn titles are outstanding examples of how a tablet game can become a magic mirror for both kids and adults. I hope as those growing up on these games advance we'll see serious work with gravitas and dramatic ambition. These games are a solid step onto that path.
Update: Okay - having now played-thru I have given Drawn 2.0 a five star rating as the endgame provided some pleasant surprises. It also felt at least 25% longer than the first title, which counts for a lots in my book. So many of the games are too short in relationship to the price charged. I'd like to have seen some more of the cool character animation (e.g. Lamplighter coming off page.).
Overall a better installment than the first part. Look forward to iPad version of next Drawn title, assuming it will be ported over.
Great follow up to the original
I loved the first version. So when I started this game I was excited to continue the story. As the game gets up to speed I was suddenly VERY disappointed and felt like I blew $7. The first puzzles did not have the same "look and feel" of the first version. The vector graphics looked sophomoric and not at all the beauty and fluid movement of the original. This lasted for about the first 1/3 of the game. It's like it wasn't even done by the same developer or the team of developers had changed. It seemed very "basic" in every respect. But I figured "dang it! They got me for $7b asked on my loyalty and love for the other game. But I paid so I'm going to at least finish it. I'm glad I did!
Aside from the new way to navigate (which I still don't like) a little farther in the old feelings of the original started to seep in. Then changed over to the wonderful, beautiful graphics and game play of the first version. (You can read my review of the first at that game). I really started to enjoy the game then. It was smooth, smart and beautiful. By the end I was very happy with this game. Like I said in the first review. You used to have to pay $40-60 for this kind of quality game for a pc. This one you can even try before buying. It's well worth the money for the hours of enjoyment I got out of playing this game. I recommend it to anyone that enjoys adventure and puzzle games.
Still crashes upon entering "blue light" picture
I noticed that this last update indicated some problems had been fixed on crashing, but unfortunately it hasn't fixed all of them. Having selected the "free" version first to see if I wanted to spend the money, I played the game up to the decision to purchase or put it on the back burner. I was thoroughly impressed and intrigued with the plot and graphics, and even though I had suffered a couple crashes, I chose to purchase. It crashed almost immediately. I then began again and went just a little further, and again suffered a crash. Most of the crashes deal with entering the pictures. The huge glitch I encountered is in the "blue light" scene. After I provided the missing picture, the program kept crashing. Previously I had been able to just restart, but not this time. I wish I could wait to evaluate this app because I find it extremely enjoyable. Since I'm a novice, I appreciate the unique hint button. Pictures speak a thousand words! On a side note, I did shut down thinking that might help, but it did not. I don't want to reinstall if I don't have to. I have given a 3, but once the remaining glitches for the iPad version have been taken care of and I no longer crash at every turn, I'll definitely change it to a 5!
