MUCH Better (and less cost) than Intercom!
My experience with Drift is MUCH better than any experience I’ve ever had with Intercom in the past AND Drift has a fully-functional FREE version of their app for any small businesses that need this type of solution without sacrificing aesthetic (every other free version of a website messenger aesthetically looks like it was free). Most importantly, Drift’s level of customer service (even for non-paying users) is TOP-NOTCH! We had a slight issue on our website due to the welcome message reverting back to the default ‘placeholder’ text, so I reached out directly through Drift Messenger on Drift’s website and I immediately received a response from a representative named Karla and she helped me in a very quick and efficient manner (and had a great sense of humor to boot!). Thank you so much Karla & Drift - you have a customer for life (and a huge part of that is from the interaction I had with Karla and how nice & helpful she was, so hopefully she is rewarded for doing a great job)!

Have compared the software to others available, and this has several benefits, including the fact that they keep track of all of the persons conversation so you can look at them across time, and they allow you to send a copy of the chat transcript to anyone you like. Two things I would like to see that would make it even better . 1. That you’re able to to add an internal note in the specific chat letting your colleagues know the outcome and steps you have taken ( it integrates with salesforce but if your CRM is diffErent than that does not work), 2. allow me to add a note to the sales channel when I forward the transcript
Has potential, but needs so, so much work.
This app freezes constantly. When I’m in a conversation with a visitor to my site, this app freezes about 6 or 7 times within about every 5 minutes of conversation. Every time it freezes, the only way to get back to the app being responsive is to force close the app and start it back up again, however, even that only works about 60% of the time. And once you get back to the conversation with a customer, so much time has passed that more often than not, they have already left the conversation. This service is great, and the app has a lot of potential, but in its current state it is almost unusable. I want it to be a pleasurable experience, but it just isn’t there yet.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
