Beautifully designed and laid out the Driller's Little Helper is a pleasure to use with built in checks and limits, email results functionality, and a shake to reset function. This app is built for the international oilfield using a combination of metric and imperial units for input and output.
Functionality includes Directional Survey Analysis, Carbide Tracer Hole Size, Mud Up with Barite, Annular Pressure Loss, Equivalent Circulating Density and Hydrostatic Loss calculations.
The Application is fully self contained requiring only minimal input to perform complex calculations.
Drill Pipe, Tubing and Casing Sizes are preloaded in the application making it easy to specify sizes and weights. All Little Helper Apps have built in checks and limits to validate user input, prevent typo's and preclude erroneous answers from being returned. The checks and error message setup is such that you will not be prevented from working with values outside the built in limits, rather a warning pops up to let you know the values in question are either very high or very low for a given situation. However where the answer makes no sense at all you will be prompted to check the input. You can leave the applications, make a phone call, find a restaurant, play a game, whatever it happens to be then come back to the Little Helper and any data that you had entered will still be there. At the press of a button you can capture the results of any page and email them from within the application. Once you are done with a page you can shake the phone and the page will reset.

I went to use it and it only had meters for depth, so when I came here to write a review I found "Drillers Little Helper USA"... isn't that special. It can convert everything else, but not meters??? C'mon, stop wasting my time. It could be semi-useful if it weren't for this, however, most of what it does you could do easy enough with a cheap calculator. I've worked in 22 countries and only 2 groups of people use meters when drilling - the French and the... well you know who you are. I was less irritated about being robbed of $3 than the 7.4 meg of space wasted.
Missing casing sizes and weights won't convert between meters and feet and doesn't even have a simple volume calculator
