Your smartphone, along with a Bluetooth beacon you’ll receive in the mail, will collect basic information about your driving characteristics. Next, the app will use this information to calculate your potential discount on auto insurance.
• View your current and trending discounts based on specific driving characteristics
• Calculate your potential discount by adjusting a variety of driving characteristics
• See how your driving stacks up against others
• Learn how your driving habits, such as braking, mileage, speed and acceleration, affect your discount

I personally don't want to rate this app period as it shouldn't even be out yet. The flaw design is completely horrendous being that it's 2017. Car Insurance is always changing but technology to build a phone app is mere child's play. Coming from an AT&T rep and a BA in Game Design. Location services should be optional to be on when open but off when the app is pushed aside. Shouldn't demand such a high battery to even use Bluetooth capabilities either. System is flawed, I've made contact with an employee of State Farm and I'm pushing to help make this app worth using.
P.S. Those saying to keep their phone on the charger is not necessarily the best idea as that can cause damage to it. Check your phones battery maker, anything with nickel will cause slight damage over time. Any third party such as what Samsung uses can cause over heating and swelling of the battery.
Works for me
Do not need to be signed in after set up. Just have location and Bluetooth on which I do anyway for hands free. Have not had it long enough for rating but should be fine since I have excellent driving record. Got one for wife's car since she drives so little. I keep phone in charger so no problem with battery.
Drains my battery
After only being in a car for 1 hour in the last 24hrs, this app has used 70% of my battery! It never used to drain my battery, it must have been something in an update. I also hate having my location services on and it always running.
I would definitely prefer something that didn't require a smartphone to run.
