An ominous sound toy.
"Drone Tone seems especially good at invoking slow movements made of terror—Freddy Krueger dragging his razors across the metal sheets of an abandoned factory type stuff. If you want to tap into your darker side then it's a surefire way of doing that."

This app phones home for no apparent reason
There is nothing configurable here, and the graphics, while minimalist and vector-generated like all the shiniest toys these days, bear no obvious functional relation to the drone samples other than turning them on and off.
I would assume this was someone's graphics learning project if it didn't connect to some Comcast Cable IP in New Jersey upon first startup. What data it sends or receives I haven't figured out yet.
The sounds are not scary either. Kinda quiet, actually. Will delete as soon as I do some more research on what New Jersey knows about me now.
Extremely cool, fun little app. Def worth a try
I’m not a fake review like Erik probably is. This app is cool, I won’t say it is the best thing since sliced bread but if you like drones and soundscapes, and good design, you should take it on a whirl.
I really like the sounds, just more configurability. Also the bottom button looks like a loading icon. I would change that. Maybe a square?
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
