This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.

With Ellipsynth, you can stretch and retune fists full of audio in real time. Ellipsynth is a realtime multitouch polyphonic granular synthesis instrument.

It can import and export audio, as well as record. It's like a hyped up granular version of my "synthicity itself" app.

Enjoy it at its low introductory price!

- slow down and reverse sounds by dragging them around on the control screen.
- play sounds immediately from any point
- retune sounds just a little bit off to get a swarm of sound.
- build chants and drones.
- it uses Audio Copy and Paste
- comes with a small, weird bunch of sample presets, and more to come.

Good Thing

It is very clear to understand the interface. I like it and recommend it for its simplicity. Needs midi implemented for parameter control and sequencer input. I can understand that implementing midi for the XY touch trigger/manipulator may be a bit daunting but at least for now maybe cc# control for the linear parameters (volume on right vertical side, sustain/hold bar...)

My only gripe is that landscape mode disables the ability to import audio? NOT cool seeing as most synth/music creation apps are orientated this way (not to mention most music hardware specific to the iPad)...with the use of a screen whose content display is only limited by the developer, why would this limitation be? Is it only because it looks ugly (subjectively to the Dev?)

Simply Great

Wow. This is really quite wonderful. It is similar to Samplr, but quite a bit simpler and rough around the edges. It has character, though, and it sounds very promising with droning goodness, with optional granular buzz depending on your settings. It is a little slow on an iPad first gen, but very musical and intuitive. I am having huge fun importing some sequences and playing them backwards and forwards and frozen in time.... Must get app!

One of he firsts from an original !

A truly independent leader .Who spells genuine competition for the heavy hitters who've been playing the music app/vst gambit long before iosmusic . A stand alone edge-cutter on the verge(?) - check out his other stuff - utterly mind- blowing work - they're all true hidden gems !!!thanks for hanging in there Henry !!!
