Very promising

Paper seems to have a lot of potential (and on my devices anyway, hasn't yet crashed), and it's great to have the potential for this kind of thing built into Dropbox too. That said, Paper has what's to me an annoying way of presenting folders and documents. As far as I can tell, it doesn't want to show you the actual folder structure that you've set up, it does that thing of showing a list of ALL your folders at one time, whether or not you've nested them inside each other, and it orders folders and/or documents by Recently Viewed -- with no option to have them displayed alphabetically by name instead. I hate that. My brain wants to see and work with the folder structure that I've set up, and wants the folders and documents listed alphabetically by name. So until those options are offered in Paper I won't be using it. But otherwise it seems like a nice app, and if you aren't bugged by the All Folders (and listed by Recently Viewed) thang, maybe it's for you.

Nice App that Needs Some Work

I use this app because I wanted to consolidate the services on my phone. It is mainly my new go-to for shareable to do lists (replacing the national be notes app)

They recently removed the option to easily select different heading sizes, which is really annoying and almost made me switch apps, but the biggest bug that bothers me is when you’re creating a new check list item the (add new item and press return to create another) previous word mashes up with the new word you’re typing (you can see the mangled word in autocorrect). So you either need to accept the word is wrong or go back and manually add a space.

Again, overall I think the app is acceptable for my purposes, but if I wasn’t already paying for Dropbox I probably wouldn’t use it as much as I do.

Don’t rely on it

I was hoping to find an Evernote alternative and since Dropbox is pitching heavily toward the creatives, I thought I might find that in Paper. While I do find the features nice, there are too many bugs for me to rely on it for any work of value. The app often undoes work I have entered or on the opposite end of that spectrum won’t let me edit work I have already done. As an artist I use the app to brainstorm ideas, label titles of work, or keep measurements of artwork readily available. I’m hoping that the glitches get worked out and this turns into an app I can rely on to do my work without the worry of losing precious time spent.
