What's New

Version 1.0.4

What’s new

• Stacks and items display custom thumbnails
• When scrolling down in collection or stack view, the top and bottom bars will hide. So you can appreciate your items in all their glory
• The activity feed will preload upon the launch of the app. So you don't have to wait for new items and new comments to appear
• We now use the official iOS file browser to upload documents to Dropmark
• When using an external keyboard, commands are available to navigate tabs, create collections and items, and navigate web pages. Hold the Command key to discover key commands in Dropmark

What’s fixed

• Various bug fixes to stop the app closing upon the successful completion of a task. The app is now more stable, faster, and less likely to want to have a nap. The same cannot be said for our team.
• Activity feed will display new comments or reactions appropriately
• Display the correct collaborator count in the collection view header, and update the list of collaborators when necessary
• Layout changes for the ‘safe’ area on iPhone X.
• Improved drag-and-drop logic to be able to handle network requests that linger. Not to be confused with lingerie, which is entirely different and has nothing to do with Dropmark. We have also changed the item's trigger point to make it look better, have more room and be more reactive
• When selecting multiple items to stack, we streamlined the logic to either display a stack picker or a stack creation form
• Improvements including code consolidation and squashing bugs

great service, app needs some work!

first of all i'm so glad i found dropmark - i collaborate on a lot of writing projects with a friend and we needed something like a mood board for a lot of our stuff but with more functionality than a lot of mood board apps out there. dropmark does literally everything we need and that's just at the free level. i'm thinking of upgrading to the personal pro for the tags and stacks features, but i'm hesitant to do so until the app works as well as the website does. i found that you can add picture thumbnails to text posts, which is great, but you can only do that on the website - and if you do it, it doesn't show up in the app. the post continues to just have a preview of the text for a thumbnail in the app. another issue is just how simplistic some of the app sections are; there are very few settings to mess with, and you can't click on a collaborator name to be taken to their dropmark page. i've also had a fair number of issues with crashes when trying to paste text, which according to the last version update history was resolved but i'm definitely experiencing that on this current version.

overall i love dropmark and it's already become a great resource for me, and i give the website itself a 5/5 for sure! the app though needs some work, but if it gets updated and it has the same wide functionality as the website does, ill be adding that last star and signing on for personal pro.

Great for long distance relationships

My girlfriend and I use this when we're apart to share things we find interesting in life

Requires an account

Launch to a screen that requires an account on a third party service. The app is nonfunctional without the account. No description of what the account is for or the privacy policy within the app. Is it a real app? No idea until you provide full name, user name, and a password.

Developer Response

Hey Macdrifter, sorry for the confusion. A free Dropmark account is required as noted in our App Store description, and our Privacy Policy is available using the Support link. We'll work on making this clearer with our next update, but here is the direct link for now:

Hope you give Dropmark a chance in the meantime, and consider updating your review after using the product :)
