DropTime is a countdown timer designed for the Pomodoro Technique. It sets up a loop sequence of timers and records how much time you spent on a task.
The Pomodoro Technique uses a timer to break down periods of work into 25-minute intervals. It’s a productivity method that helps you to stay focused on your task. More info at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomodoro_Technique

Love this app minus one exception
Everything about this pomodoro timer is perfect in my eyes. I love the background colors, the simplicity of the layout, and the ability to add/remove timers plus break periods. Also, the loop function is great for those harder subjects that require additional pomodoro's.
My only gripe is that you can only pause, stop, reset, and control the timers functionality while the iPad is sitting vertically, or in portrait mode. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but when I have it situated in landscape mode, I can only see the timer and the buttons disappear, which prevents me from controlling it this way. I use my iPad with an attached keyboard case, so I am generally in landscape view. Plus I think it looks a bit better this way, and is more appropriate when you're trying to fit the iPad, books, and all your other materials on your desk space.
If the developer could fix this small issue, this would be a 5 star app for me!! Otherwise, I have no other complaints, and am loving it so far. Thanks!
I appreciate the design and simplicity of the app, but it doesn't have any functionality. The app doesn't notify you in any way when each segment (work/break) is done. I would keep working right through my breaks because even though I had the app open and my phone unlocked, there was no notification. Also, there are two options, one for the next segment to start automatically (meaning that as soon as your break is over, the timer on your 25 min of work starts), or for the whole cycle to just stop and sit there (meaning there is no "next up", you have to start all over from the working segment). In the former situation, I would end up working through breaks or extending my break into work time accidentally. In the latter situation, the app rendered itself useless. It actually would be faster and easier for me to just use the timer on my phone to set 25 and 5 min timers.
DropTime: Looks Good, Sounds Bad%#
A visually beautiful combination of colors, graphics, chrono data, and operational controls. As a Pomodoro timer you can customize the work, short, and long intervals and then loop through them continuously if you so choose. Sonically, however, it plays a piece of music for 13 interminable, seconds at the start and end of each segment!! Desperately needs some options on this note (e.g. duration of play time and selection of sounds). The way it stands right now, in shared space, either you or your device may get the boot!
PS Yes, that's 13 never ending seconds of sound.
