This is the best 2 pane browser
Yes, this app has not been updated since 2011, and yes, sometimes it crashes (the window closes & you're left looking at your desktop, so you have to restart what you were doing.) If you try to change the user agent (to Mac desktop Safari or IE, for example) which is how this browser identifies itself to the web site that you are browsing, it will crash. But when you want to have two browsing panes, you'll find that this browser is very well designed, has several useful features. Make your own comparisons, as I did. I don't use it for banking, purchases or tasks like that -- I use the Apple stock iOS Safari browser for financial or other critical tasks for which I absolutely don't want a crash to occur in the middle of the transaction but, when I want to watch streaming video in one pane, for example, and look up or read something in the other pane, I use Dual Browser -- this one, not the ones with similar names. I think that you'll find this app to be the the best multiple pane browser -- for now.
Crashes Frequently Stay Away til Fixed!!
This is a great idea and I had hopes of increased productivity by having two browsers in view. Instead I'm faced with decreased productivity as I am frequently restarting the app due to many crashes.
Anytime you hit the back button more than a few times, your app will crash. I see this gets good reviews but I can't imagine browsing without hitting a back button. Maybe the rest of the group reviewed too soon and didn't realize this issue? It's super frustrating and happens every time so they couldn't have used the app for long.
I gave this a 1 star only because zero stars was NOT an option. Testing is an important part of development, one these guys may have overlooked. This app needs to address these crashes before it is usable. The addition of tabs would be helpful as well. I guess until the crashing is resolved, I will go back to single browsers.
Best Internet browser that I've found
All of us from time to time are waiting for the loading of a page or a refresh. These times don't disappear however, for those impatient ones, you can work, read, or search a different page while the other is loading. Or if you are comparing information, there no need to switch between applications, it's all there in front of you. I now have this app on the dock of my iPad. I use it everyday. Thank you for a quality app!
