Customer Reviews
Broken game/broken customer service
I started playing three weeks ago and the first few minutes of playing were fine, fun even. Then I went to equip a piece of armor for the first training quest, only the game didn't drop armor, it dropped a sword. So I was put into an endless loop where the game won't let me do anything except attempt to put a piece of non-existent armor on. I contacted customer service but it's been over three weeks since my initial contact and no one has reached out. Terrible game killing bug. Terrible customer service. If I could give this game a negative star I would. Maybe I'll change my review if they end up fixing my issue.
Update: I'm keeping the score as is. I'm enjoying the game but it took over two months for customer support to fix the game so I could finally play it. That kind of disrespect for the player is disturbing and disgusting. Especially after I called them and they guaranteed that they would fix the issue asap. A month later I was still waiting. Two months is unacceptable and truly a slap in the face of gamers.
Predictably Beautiful and Shallow
As with most of the Dungeon Hunters, it's beautiful, and it controls very well. But as is the case with most free-with-in-app-purchases, it's very shallow: the story is window dressing so you don't care at all about the characters and the gameplay is ABSOLUTELY designed to collect some cash from you. Sure, you can play through fairly well without paying much, but that also takes away the fun of earning stuff. Bottom line is you can just feel when a game is designed that way and all of the DH games are like this. Give us a premium game with depth and we'll gladly pay for it. Gameloft has the formula down but to be honest, most of them are extremely forgettable. Please stop churning out cash grabs and try harder. Hope they are reading this.
DH5 get ready to get robbed
Pros: By far the best dungeon hunter game series yet. They have truly out done themselves with the graphics and game play. Definitely addictive.
Cons: addictive will lead to expensive as you cannot purchase top armor anymore like the earlier DH versions. Now it's 50 to 100 gems for frustrating mystery chests and more gems to have to constantly craft, fuse and evolve your characters. My Gameloft customer service experience has been poor rarely help with crashing and bug issues even if your a VIP player.
