Funny but boring
The game is a lot of fun at first, the commentary and game mechanics are humorous but EA didn't create the fun stuff. What they did create is the gameplay itself and it gets old real quick. It's nothing like the original dungeon keeper, bullfrog had enough imagination, creativity, and common sense to know that shooting fireballs over walls, creatures, dragons, ghosts, etc... flying over the top of dungeon walls, and spending countless hours on air defenses to defend yourself against air raids in an, ahem, "underground cavern" where the walls are attached to the ceiling, just isn't going to work... No worldly Hero's to try and defeat you, just "exclusive" computer dungeon keeper raids to keep you busy, then for a change of pace you can attack other keepers, or get attacked by other keepers, or wait for days for your stuff to build, or upgrade, leaving you vulnerable rinse and repeat over, and over, and over again.... It never ever ends.... They buy the rights to a game they had nothing to do with, lock it away for years, then release it from their "vaults" like they had any imagination what so ever to create something that cool to begin with... And this app just shows it, pretty awful but I am still giving it 2 stars because it is fun the first few days when you don't have to wait so long or rearrange your dungeon fifty times to make everything fit in the little area they give you, or get so much stuff the game crashes over and over again.
Like sticking your head into a woodchipper...
This so called game crashes constantly even while performing the most mundane of tasks. Enjoy spending more time rebooting than playing? Then this may be the game for you! Have no life and love having to wait up to two weeks (in real time) for a simple building upgrade? This is your dream game!
Just inherited Aunt Matilda's fortune and want to waste it all overnight trying to speed up this cold ball of tar slowly rolling uphill in the middle of the winter? Then this is your ticket baby! Why, for just a few thousand dollars you could get all those upgrades done in just a few hours instead of risking dying of old age before the happy day arrives...
Love spending hours getting ready for a raid only to have the game crash just as you begin to deploy your forces? Then get this game now! BONUS!!! All you forces, magic, time, and money will be gone with the wind, and you will be left with a big fat defeat on your permanent record.
Glutton for punishment? Enjoy helplessness?Weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth your idea of a good time? Then by all means get this game without hesitation! Does being ignored by the very people who were happy to take your money make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside? Repelled by customer service? Offended by integrity? Punch your ticket to ride this train at once!
But don't take my word for it...go ahead, punish yourself - you deserve it!
THIS IS BLASPHEMY TO ORIGINAL GAME!
90s spirit was original, making productions out of strong emotions and enthusiasm. They, we, the whole world lost this spirit in 2000s where age of ignorant consumption began to scorch the world from west to east and these 'abominations' of apps and games are products of it. Everything is all about money or quick consumption and being done with it for the next to come, an endless unsatisfiable craving. Games are not played anymore but consumed. When there is nothing else remained to consume, producers found solution for more money by devouring 90s original masterpieces one by one and creating these blasphemies. This is not only for gaming world, same thing can easily be noticed in filming, music, human relations and every other core values. EA is now nothing but a prominent apostle killing our inner worlds that is legacy of 90s...
