Duplicate Files Finder is an easy-to-use application acting as your duplicate file cleaner. It’s quite easy for everybody to use with a simple and elegant interface. Your duplicate files in folders of Downloads, Music, Movies and Pictures in the computer can be easily scanned and cleared at a fast speed. Besides, You can customize the target folders which need to be scanned and cleared. What’s more, emptying the files in Downloads, Music, Movies and Pictures is also allowed.
With Duplicate Files Finder, you will never be bothered by the terrible duplicate files. Why not give your favorite computer a little more care and space.

A Half Effort
Falls way short.
Apps are supposed to make life easier. This one make it much more difficult. It seems obvious that the builders of this app don’t use it for it is essentially non functional for what I would think are easy to fix problems.
I give this app and it’s developers and E for Effort (it’s pretty) and E for Empty of value.
1. The column displaying the list of duplicates found is SO narrow that only a few letters (6-10) of the file names are shown and there is no way to widen that column. On it’s face, a similar app has the same layout but allows that column to open wider and reveal the full document names.
2. I like the basic group sort by file type. That’s a nice touch but pales in comparison to the absense of ANY sorting of the found duplicates.
3. Found duplicate files are not sorted by name, not by size, not by kind, NADA. Now, not only can you not see the full name (except as you select one at a time the full file names shows in the lower right box), you have to hunt through the long list of randomly ordered found duplicates and guess which ones might be of a size worth bothering with. Since other apps provide the file size and sort by this factor, I have no interest in using this one.
Simple and Easy
The overall design is simple and accessible but with a lot of shortcomings. For instance, there are options to scan your Downloads, Music, Movies and Pictures files but if you’ve moved them to a different area of the disk, it won’t find them. There are also some odd things about the UI - the base size for listing the amount of duplicates you’ve selected is TB - I sometimes barely have a GB of duplicates and misspellings (“file has deleted”).
