Check out the TouchArcade forums if you want to hear the latest from a passionate developer with an intuitive approach to his craft and appreciation for fans of the title. The first line on the storefront clearly states that Dust is *only* compatible with devices that have at least 1 GB of RAM, yet those who refuse to read before making "instabuy" purchases insist on blaming everyone else for their disappointment. Try this: Skip the review process and request a refund. The rest of us need honest assessments based on the merits. Again, the TA forum is the best place to read up on impressions and even engage in the occasional spirited exchange. My own view: This gem is nothing short of spectacular, and it runs at a smooth 60 frames per second on compatible devices. The lower resolution is a consequence of (all compatible) device limitations—a necessary compromise. Otherwise, the one-man team behind this epic would not have bothered with the platform. So, if you like stunning visuals, smooth gaming, and exquisite touch control implementation give it a try. But do everyone the favor of making sure that your device meets the requirements *prior* to doing so.
One of the BEST PC/CONSOLE to APP ported game EVER
I have played Dust on Both Xbox and Pc, both versions being graphically amazing and stunning with smooth controls and a well put together combat system. I can say, without a doubt, that this ported version is JUST as good as the console and pc versions; having not lost its graphical edge, voice acting is still in top quality, and gameplay just as smooth without any lag.
There is ONE problem that I will have to admit, but it seems to be a reoccurring problem for a lot of games lately; the hud size is a bit TOO small, I've had this problem with other Pc/Console to App ported games. It's mostly being apparent with games played on the IPhone 5C while the newer iPhone's larger screen compensates for this problem. But it's just something to be aware of before purchasing.
This is an iOS masterpiece and gem
This is an excellent game. The battles are fun and well paced, the controls are very fluid(it gives a muramasa kinda of feel to it). Overall it's a console quality game. My device meets the requirements but I did notice one little issue. When your playing and the screen flips. The game loses focus and the screen turns purple. It's not that big of a problem since you can lock the screen but I just thought the developers should be aware. He /she or they did fix the last issue where the game was completely unplayable which I sincerely thank. There should really be more games like this on iOS. (There are some issues other people face ,hopefully they will be resolved but until then appreciate the work done to fix them.)
