My favorite work tool and toy

I’m a producer and a painter. I use this to time lapse art, shoot locations for scouting, and shoot backstage. Everyone is blown away when I show them what this little guy does. Yes SOMETIMES the app on the phone doesn’t open but just open the app yourself and you should be fine. I would say that this is also more convenient, more reliable and faster than the camera on the iPhone.

I also am really looking forward to taking this surfing in the water housing. I have had several friends switch from GoPro to this. I love dxo and I am looking forward to seeing what’s in store for them in the future.

Merci beaucoup bonne travail!

iPhone not recognizing camera

I’m on iOS 11.2.1 with an iPhone 5s and the app does not recognize the camera when attached. This has been an issue for months now and makes the camera much less valuable. Essentially, it boils down to false advertising as the key element of the product does not work. There was a time when the phone did recognize the camera and I hope this issue is fixed soon.

FYI - the company’s support blog writes that this has been permanently resolved with an earlier iOS version than mine, but in my experience it remains an ongoing issue. I hope they are still working on this.

Developer Response ,

There are 2 reasons that may explain the problem you encounter:
1- Previously, iOS 11 had a compatibility issue with the DxO ONE (as with series of other MFi devices); the software would sometimes fail to recognize the device after it was connected.
This problem has been permanently resolved in iOS 11.1.
2- Another problem may occur if you used Apple configurator to restore your iOS device after a replacement. While waiting for an Apple fix, a workaround consists in restoring the OS on the idevice with iTunes. To proceed, connect the idevice on your computer - launch iTunes - restore or update the OS. After this operation, the camera will be detected again and everything will be back to normal.
If none of those match with your own context, please get in touch with our support team through the App or DxO website so that we can assist you and find a solution to your problem as quickly as possible.

iPhone XS Max issues?

Initially worked when first connection using lightning connection after downloading the app. Disconnected from phone lightning connection and used wireless direct connection to shot video and snap shots. Now phone/app will not detect camera on lightning connection. On my iPad Pro it has no issues when performing the same tasks, but I purchased it for use on the go with the iPhone.
