✭On Sale!!!✭ After the big success of the iPhone and iPad version we had many request to make the Dynamic Light for MAC.
Dynamic Light gives you the easiest, fastest and best looking HDR look from just a single image. No need for multiple exposure shots or raw files, just a normal JPG image from your camera is enough (also supports PNG, Tiff and few other formats).
This version for MAC is also ultra fast multithreaded app because we did all the hard optimization for IOS version and now on much more powerful machines it runs faster than we anticipated. Turning strength dial or effect color ball now updates image in real-time!
There are 24 special effects that are a great match for the HDR look like Orton, Sepia, Vignette, Mysterious Light, Infrared etc. Dutch Light effect even gained some legendary status with our users.
Select any effect then rotate the Light Ball to see in realtime how the light and direction change with the Mac exclusive live preview. You can easily create precise custom look for color or black & white images.
"In one word, "WOW". This is a quick, simple app, with stunning effects that has just set a new standard in single photo HDR apps..." iPhoneography.com review of iPhone version.
Some tips: The HDR look works best on landscape and outdoor pictures especially with cloudy skies and lot of textures. This also minimizes the camera noise. Large flat surfaces without a texture are not a good match for this effect, nor are portrait photos, unless you are after particular effect.
We hope you will have fun with this app and take some amazing shots.
What's New in Version 1.1
We take your comments seriously:
-Added drag and drop (drag image to the image display view)
-Removed redundant menus
No brainer purchase
I have the iPhone version and love it. This version gives me all its functionality on my mac and I can finally use it on my dslr images. The interface is a bit uncommon as it obviously come from the ipad. But the speed is multiple of what iPhone or iPad can do. On my dslr images it also produces the effect much nicer and smoother than on the iphone camera.
This continues to be my favorite app for pseudo hdr images and you can hardly find anything out there that produces effects close to it with such an ease and definitelly not in that price. A great addition to anybody toolbox!
Now for the negatives. There are some less essential quirks that need to be fixed (many had been solved in the latest update so I am increasing the rating) it just needs a few final touches. (for example the print menu will print a screenshot of the interface...it doesn't even need to be there, you can just remove it)
Fun with great effects
Great app to use. Purchased after having used on iPad. If possible I'd like to see the following which were available in the iPad version: split screen where I could compare original and processed file; and access to iPhoto library on Mac so I don't have to export photos to use them. Best app I've come across for applying HDR like effects to a photo.
This app is good!
This one is just a little hard to figure out at first, but the interface is so cool, you don't mind it. I hope they add more effects in the future, but I'm happy with the app for what I paid. It did improve the several photos I experimented with. Thanks for a nice app!
