Less usable compared to a year ago
I haven't used the app in quite a while. After logging in recently to see what changed, I was happy with some of the flashy improvements like streaming quotes. However the app frequently crashes on an iPhone 6S and some of the interface is quite cluttered. The biggest surprise was the inability to add any quote to the watch list. This is a critical feature that makes me loose any confidence in the app developers. I would not trust executing any trade on this app given how buggy it is...
Doesn't open at all on Apple Watch Series 2
I get the E*Trade icon with with a spinning progress circle for about 30 seconds and then it simply exits to the main Apple Watch app icons screen.
I would have reported a problem to the developer instead of leaving a negative review, but the page linked to from the reviews page doesn't have any mention of apps on it. This 'app' seems like a poorly supported, hastily executed afterthought.
Sell order didn't work
Received a notification to upgrade to the app, so I did. Tried to place a good for 60 days sell order, but kept getting an error that I needed to specify how many shares to sell. Tried it several times, and gave up. Went back to the other E*TRADE app (the one with the white background), and it took me all but 1 minute. Not sure what happened, but this app didn't work. Deleted it.
