Its just OK

EasyEnvelopes does what it says and is somewhat easy to use although there’s little documentation, the FAQ isnt that helpful but the the screen shots will will help. The reality is that this doesnt do anything more then the whats built into printing in Contacts. It just makes it a little bit easier. My two biggest disappointments is that the area to put addresses on the emvelopes can not be resized so it limits you as to the type and size of font you can use. Also Its very sad that you have no control over size or placement of graphics on the envelope. The only thing you can do is put a little square image next to the return address which you can do in the Contact printing. You cant use a graphic in place of the return address and you cant put images elsewhere on the envelope. Its just $10 but thats a couple beers. You’d probably rather have those.

Great tool! Works with Ventura 13.2!

UPDATE: I've been using this for many years and was initially bummed that it was crashing on my M2 Pro Mac Mini w/ Ventura 13.0. After the Ventura update to 13.2, I'm pleased to report that it now works great.
=============
I originally forced myself to buy this because the widget wasn't working on my computer anymore. After a small adjustment getting used to the new interface, I'm pleasantly surprised. It makes my life much easier when I have to print a single envelope. I haven't tried the group list yet, but the interface for it is rather cool. It allows custom editing on an individual basis without affecting the Address Book data and allows you to omit the printing of envelopes for certain members within the group. The app also makes it much easier to create your own envelope dimensions, which was much easier to do than the widget. I think it's really well thought out and a worthy tool for making my mailing life easier. Thanks a ton. You have my (postage) stamp of approval.

Glad You're Still Alive, My Old Friend

After using the EasyEnvelopes widget for years, I moved to Labels and Addresses when the widget was discontinued. L&A never moved to 64 bit and stopped working with Catalina, but I ran it in a Mojave virtual machine. Now that I've moved to an M1 based Mac that was no longer an option and I had to find something else to replace L&A.

I'd looked at the successor to L&A, Swift Publisher, but it was a generic "desktop publishing" app and a mess for envelope printing. I downloaded a trial of the Labelist, but was met with constant crashes whenever I tried to update anything.

I was put off by the fact that EasyEnvelopes hasn't been updated in years, Ambrosia's website is no longer on-line, and the number of negative reviews. But I held my breath and clicked the Buy button. I'm very pleasantly surprised that so far things are working fine on my 2021 iMac. It seamlessly generates an envelope from addresses on my clipboard and prints barcodes as part of the address. Of course, the ability to search for an address from your contacts or print an envelope for everyone in a group is there too.

I'm sorry to see the maker of such classic Mac software as Maelstrom, Snapz Pro and WireTap Studio is no longer around, but glad to see that Easy Envelopes is still kicking. I'd give it five stars, but the lack of any support worries me enough to subtract one.
