WHAT THE EXPERTS SAY ABOUT ELIZABETH MINCHILLI
“Trust me, no one knows food in Rome like Elizabeth does.”
-Frank Bruni Former Chief Restaurant Critic, New York Times
“Elizabeth is a food writer. Unsurprisingly, she knows all the best places to eat in Rome, including a gelateria that serves a frozen rice pudding (and if they don’t serve this kind of thing in heaven, then I really don’t want to go there.)
-Elizabeth Gilbert, in Eat, Pray, Love.
“Elizabeth Minchilli is my food guru in Rome.”
-Evan Kleiman, Host of KCRW’s Good Food, Best-selling cookbook author
and owner of AngeliCaffe.

This app is perfect for anyone looking for good restaurants in Rome. I recently planned an Italian vacation and used Elizabeth's app for my main source of information on all things food while we were in Rome. Though I see that she now recommends hotels as well, and also has an app for Florence and Venice. The app is 100% functional offline which is perfect for international travelers. Complete with maps, photos, and filter functionality, look no further for great recommendations in Rome!
We also were lucky enough to meet Elizabeth outside a lovely bar (coffee shop) Er Baretto in Rome! She was very gracious and it was good to see that she spends time in the places she recommends!
We can't thank you enough Elizabeth!!!
Don't Go to Rome without this App!
During our recent trip to Rome, we relied heavily on the Eat Rome app. It worked perfectly for us. Elizabeth's recommendations were spot on and extremely helpful in choosing wisely from the many, many restaurants and cafes competing for a tourist's business.
I used the iPhone version and it worked like a charm as we walked through the city. The map feature worked perfectly even offline and saved us a ton of money in international data fees.
To be honest, it takes some work to eat well in Rome. There are plenty of places that offer subpar food. Elizabeth knows the city and has done an incredible job discovering some of the best spots.
Don't go to Rome without this app!
Wow! Indispensable cheat sheet for visiting Rome.
On a recent trip to Rome, this was our go to resource for where to eat/sleep/drink. Clearly, each of the places listed in the app are hand-picked from an insider who obviously knows the terrain well.
Appreciated the features -- ability to sort by neighborhood, map, favorite, etc. Used the iPhone version while I was on the go and iPad to plan for next day. Loved that the data was available offline so I didn't eat into my international data plan (no pun intended).
Also loved the comments from other users. Very helpful, even the negative reviews.
Downloaded the Venice version, too.
My only complaint? Not enough time to visit all of the places listed!
