Eating your meals too quickly is not good for your health, and is a difficult habit to break. Eat Slower can help!
Eat Slower provides an adjustable timer which you can use to pace yourself while you eat. Each time the timer elapses, you are allowed to take a bite of your meal.
By pacing yourself while eating, you are encouraged to chew your food more thoroughly, enjoy your food longer, and give your body more time to signal you that you are full, helping to prevent overeating.
You can adjust or pause the timer while you are eating. Choose from several different sounds to alert you to take your next bite, or turn the sounds off and just use the vibrate feature (helpful for keeping your device concealed while eating with family and friends).

Mediocre but better than the other options
I have been using this app every day, at practically every meal, for 6 months. I like it but I desperately wish there was some way to get app support for it. About four months ago the little knob that allows you to change the time interval just vanished so it's stuck on two minutes which is too long. Also, it used to still vibrate even if the lock screen was on but now that function seems to have gone too. As I said in the subject heading, it's a mediocre app at best but, sadly, it's still better than the other options I've seen.
Ever since I had my lap band surgery it has helped me on timing my bites n don't choke because of eating to quick. I have this app on my phones, iPad, iPod, won't leave with out it. Liked the app better on iPhone. I changed from apple to Samsung n with my Samsung it won't keep working if phone falls asleep.

Excellent app Eric. I will be putting this into standard use for lunch meetings, and outings to help me slow down and enjoy what I am eating more instead of gobbling it all down and over eating. Great idea...looking forward to the next update.
