EazyDraw is a general purpose vector drawing App that every Mac user should have in their Dock. It has a balanced feature set, not bloated with obscure computer illustration procedures or traditional CAD complexity.
EazyDraw is perfect for technical drawings, text/page layout, computer art, architectural plans, letters and forms, logo design, flow charts, genealogy charts, maps, scientific illustrations, app icons, web graphics, and more.
EazyDraw provides full native support for SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) file format. With EazyDraw you may import and edit SVG, EPS, and PDF vector drawings. Export formats include: SVG, PDF, EPS, JPG, TIF, Favicon, Keynote and others.
64 Bit! The App store version of EazyDraw provides the accuracy and speed of multi-thread 64 bit computing. The App Store version of EazyDraw DOES NOT support the legacy graphic formats: MacDraw, ClarisDraw, AppleWorks, or PICT. Older versions of EazyDraw are required to convert drawings in these formats. Scaling and grid snapping can be bewildering- Update: But Good
Figuring out how to get a simple grid for architechtural measurements to draw a simple set of four walls was frustrating to say the least. The program is working in super high resolution and I couldnt get anything to just snap to an exact point without seeing errors in the angles/lengths for a practical grid setting. I just wanted a grid that assumes 1/4” resolution and no matter what I tried I could not get a line to simply snap between two points on the grid without coming up with 15/64ths or 17/64ths, but anything but the 1/4” resolution I wanted. So maybe working in metric of pixels/units of ten would be less frustrating but should be a more intuitive way to just have things snap to whatever the grid point are without having this issue. I realized later that you can type in the exact line lengths to make it accurate
Update: the program is overall quite good after working with it for a while and learning some of the tricks and just navigating around. I was able to figure out some of the issues I was having so I upgraded my rating as the help menus and overall layout is very good. This is a real CAD/drawing program so it has a lot of powerful features which can make it harder for the uninitiated (like me) to get around, but once you spend time with it it starts to make sense
Not the most user friendly but exactly what I needed
Downloaded it to create a small logo, quickly and it did just that. Its not the most user friendly application but it has all the tools I needed to create my own logo. Once I understood the tools and how to fiddle with them, I was moving right along. Usually don’t review apps, but for this being a great free app, they deserve a good review from myself.
