What's New in Version 3.2.1

• Shop your Feed on your iPad
• Speed and Stability Improvements
• Fixed the Back button
• Improved Saved Searches
• More updates from your 3.0 feedback

Version 3.2 of eBay for iPad is a lot like version 3.0, but better. We read, reviewed, sorted, categorized, and discussed each and every piece of feedback we received and made improvements where it was most important.

What’s new in 3.2?

“The Feed”
If you've used eBay.com recently, you may have seen the new homescreen which can be tailored to your tastes. The iPad app now lets you view your custom Feed right in the app. If you don't see "My Feed" on your homescreen, tap the plus button (+) at the bottom of the homescreen to add your Feed. (iOS versions 6.0+ only)

Fixes, Updates, and Improvements:
• Improved Startup Speed and Searching
• We’ve improved launch times significantly, letting you get back to bidding and buying more quickly. Additionally, we’ve decreased the time it takes to launch the Search dialog.
• The Amazing Disappearing Back Button: Fixed
• In version 3.0, occasionally the Back button wouldn't appear when you expected it to. It's had time to think about what it's done, and now appears when you expect it to.
• Improved Saved Search scrolling list
• Somewhere between version 2.3.3 and 3.0, the list of Saved Searches began always starting at the top instead of saving your place. The Saved Search list now stays right where you left it.
• Improvements to View Item
• In the 3.0 version, viewing a seller's feedback and their other items took one additional tap compared to the previous version. Now both the seller's feedback card and a link to their Other Items are available with no extra taps.

Happy bidding, buying, and selling!

Customer Reviews

We Love eBay

I've been using eBay for 7 years and have always enjoyed the ease of searching and buying items. Maybe a little to much, in fact, I think it gets a little addictive. I've never had a horrible experience from the vendors because, I choose wisely and if they are always being reviewed by us (the buyers) and you have a bad experience, your going to leave a negative review. They will no longer be 100% liked/approved vendor. If I have a doubt about a vendor, I'll look into the reviews and verify whether my feelings are accurate, or if I should set aside my fears and resume with purchasing the item. I won't buy from a vendor that has reviews that are below 98% approval rate and have at least 500 purchases. In addition, the negative reviews need to be about the product, not about the seller, delivery time, etc., if they have caused a buyer grief and have not provided an excellent reason for the trouble and took care of the client on the backend, I have no use to buy from them. The great thing about eBay is that you have so many choices! I really like the number of choices and the way I can decide on my own time, there is no one lingering to "make a deal" or pressure me into it.

Ebay brings all its shortcomings to the app

There are a number of things that are substandard about this app; on the other hand, some of these are just endemic to ebay; small wonder the same flaws make it into the mobile app.

Searches are difficult to manage, to say the least. There is no option to get rid of the last searches made -- I mispelled a keyword in one, and it took OVER A MONTH of deleting the search from my most recent searches to make it go away. I NEVER get notified on one search -- I have set up notifications over and over again, with no luck -- but another notification for which I haven't actually viewed the search for months apparently works fine. And the saved search settings are routinely ignored -- ebay MUCH prefers that you use their "best match" search (which isn't, particularly) and regularly ignores all my attempts to save another sort type. Other settings get saved without my asking; it's just the sort type that gets overridden.

One of the things eBay loves to do is to guide your viewing with lots of things they think you might want to see -- the problem is, it's usually way wrong, and a waste of time at the least -- often downright obstructive. It also makes the app load more slowly.

The only reason the app gets two stars is because they finally managed to make it possible to buy more than one single item from a seller at a time. Congratulations, ebay.

Slow and crashes + lacking features

When I start the app I might as well set my ipad down because it looks like it has loaded but does not respond for about 20 seconds. Sometimes it crashes at this point too. Other sellers have mentioned some drawbacks for sellers that I agree with but will add that adding photos to listings is noaa major pain. The folders it brings up for you to navigate through do not match the 'albums' setup on my ipad instead I think it is accessing the 'moments' tab where there are millions of separate folders. Even tho photos are on my ipad I end up going to my photostream to get them because that is easier to find. There is sometimes trouble selecting photos at this point too& crashing happens here too. Entering item specifics is buggy bc you sometimes can't select whatever the last thing on the list is. Plus the lists are ordered oddly. Size 1 is followed by size 10 then 2 will be below that. I get why but makes no sense. Did anyone use this before the released it??? It is still frustrating that all listing attributes aren't available. No biz policies, description inserts, my listings are all located in the zip where I lived 5y ago even tho when I use the website to list it has the correct address. No way to fill in the condition description field which means in selling manager I always have tons of 'listing rec'. The list could go on but I know they aren't paying attention...
