Half working app with no tech support
I am forced to use this app because I have one hand, and it is much easier to take pictures with. That being said: it doesn't allow the user to schedule start times (it thinks I'm in 1970) and it started a couple of my auctions at 1 day after I had changed them to 7 days (of course I got charged!) the UPC scanner only works about 50% of the time, once you turn on the charity option, it remains 'On' on the app, even after putting up two more unrelated items, and you can't turn it off, even from the PC site, without cancelling the item, completely! Why can you not ADD pictures AFTER you receive bids without cancelling the listing! (Charging you, of course! And when you call to have them credit your account 'we have to wait until the invoice finalizes!') You can only leave feedback for one transaction at a time and, it doesn't save favorites, so you either leave the same comment twenty times over or cramp your hand typing. It often gets stuck loading and you have to either back out or reload and pray that your progress was saved, and their online support is largely a user community board! Seriously, we are in 2015. Bring up your tech support to join us!
LOVE EBAY BUT APP NEEDS WORK
I love you EBAY so consider this constructive criticism. I have always loved your apps but the new app is even slower and freezes up more than the last version. I have use the newest iPhone and always install all iOS updates and eBay app updates immediately in hopes that you guys will knock it out of the park. I remember a time when I used an old 4s and an older version of your app that worked 10 times more efficiently. I like the new outlay so that is no problem but it just sits there and spins loading and takes forever load anything I need. I have trouble listing items to sell as well as searching for items to buy. I could list at list 5 times as many items as a seller if this app worked efficiently; which translates to more money for your company and more money for me as well. I know it is a struggle to provide all the content you do and make it work efficient but if some features have to be sacrificed for speed and accuracy; I think it would benefit us as well as your company. PLEASE GET THIS FIXED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I NEED IT TO WORK RIGHT SO BAD. I STILL USE THE APP ALMOST EXCLUSIVELY BECAUSE MOBILE IS SO MUCH EASIER. I HOPE THIS HELPS IN SOME WAY. THANKS FOR ALL THE HARD WORK AND ILL UPDATE THIS REVIEW WHEN THIS APP IS FIXED.
What a dissapointment
I gave this app 2 stars because the ability to bid on items away from my PC deserves that much, but otherwise, it is useless. There is no way to contact a seller, no way to leave feedback, there are no links to pay for items (so just what is the "won" section for; seeing what I know I already bought?) and you can't even set an SMS reminder (among a host of other things) which was built for mobile devices! I can't imagine why this POS gets such good reviews. It doesn't deserve them IMHO.
Update: The above review is from several years ago. The app got much more useful over time, at least worth 4 stars, and I was using it constantly. The recent update (11/15), however, is a regression. Now, instead of having one screen to access your profile, watched items, buying/purchased items and sold items, I have to go to four different screens. Searches are now divided into one scrolling page that looks like early HTML and you have to click on small links that divide the sections to delve further. I'm so disappointed in this update that I find myself using it less and thus buying less often. Please roll back this update or change it to something that requires less maneuvering around, like older versions.
