Great app, BUT
Overall this is a great app, but eBay wants to force you to look at the NEWLY LISTED items, and not by price, like I have it setup in my followed items. Only after you flick the NEWLY LISTED button twice you'll get the listings the way you really want them. Huge waste of time when you're following 100 items. The other bummer is the fact that one can't delete DECLINED OFFERS. If I used all of my MAKE AN OFFERs on an item, and the offers were declined by the seller, then why leave this item in My eBay? Kinda wanting to force me to buy it? I don't want it. LET ME DELETE IT, so I could move on to the next item or seller. Also, sometimes the app and the website don't update or refresh properly: you find an item for $10 with 4 bids and when you click on it and go in, the item is really $18 with 7 bids. Very misleading I would say. After using eBay for a while it's always apparent that they're constantly looking for ways to force you to buy more and more, and at the highest possible prices. So I have accustomed myself to watchout for these tricks, not necessarily from sellers, but from eBay itself. It is not a good feeling.
Would be better app if the 'followed searches' feature actually worked without being glitchy. The saved searches keep altering themselves in refined criteria, turning off their notifications themselves and not updating the list properly or deleting a search properly if you try to delete a followed search and create a new one.
Printing shipping labels with wifi printer is also glitchy. Good luck trying to get the app to reprint a shipping label if you accidentally run out of paper or receive a low on ink notification. This glitch happened to me with two different printers. And there's no way to reprint label in app once you exit the shipping label screen, you're forced to go to PC site to do it. Also, stop forcing (and charging money) Gallery Plus photo feature on some listings. There's no way to turn it off unless you log into the PC website. Tired of web developers forcing features or dumbing down apps just cause it's mobile. Other then that it's a fast and handy app but not rating it higher until it gets fixed and improved.
Finally selling my 'stuff'
I sold a couple of things over the last 14 years on ebay. Using the PC envolved more effort to get my pictures uploaded and not as easy and I am not one to sit at a PC long. This app is AWESOME for a reluctant seller! Take a picture of what you want to sell... With your smart phone, open ebay app and click sell... Select the picture and fill out some basic things and within minutes it's up for sell! Take all the pictures of your upper end garage sell items, while waiting at the doctors office.... With extra time, list some of the things you had pictures of! List anywhere!
I did learn about shipping in detail by the post office and I frequently save a dollar or two on shipping by printing my own online postage. It's so easy I usually have something to drop off or have picked up every Monday now!:) thanks ebay!
