OK app, very little CS
Overall this is an ok app, but eBay wants to force you to look at the NEWLY LISTED items, and not by price, like I have it setup in my followed items. Only after you flick the NEWLY LISTED button twice you'll get the listings the way you really want them. Huge waste of time when you're following 100 items. The other bummer is the fact that one can't delete DECLINED OFFERS. If I used all of my MAKE AN OFFERs on an item, and the offers were declined by the seller, then why leave this item in My eBay? Kinda wanting to force me to buy it? I don't want it. LET ME DELETE IT, so I could move on to the next item or seller. Also, sometimes the app and the website don't update or refresh properly: you find an item for $10 with 4 bids and when you click on it and go in, the item is really $18 with 7 bids. Very misleading I would say. After using eBay for a while it's always apparent that they're constantly looking for ways to force you to buy more and more, and at the highest possible prices. So I have accustomed myself to watchout for these tricks, not necessarily from sellers, but from eBay itself. It is not a good feeling. Most recently: eBay has taken out the ability to LEAVE FEEDBACK from MY EBAY activity and hid it in the ACCOUNT tab away from the things that matter. Also they've made it really hard to contact a seller that one would want to go after to resolve issues. Again rigged for BUYING more, very little regards for customer service.
I am mostly writing this in the hopes that eBay will stop asking me to review their app. But I have bought thousands of items and I do like the app for the most part. They need to put more effort into programming for mobile devices however. I have an iPhone 6 plus (so, larger screen than most smartphones) but many of the most common things I click on require me to scroll to get to them. I don't need to have the category (sometimes five lines) up front because I ALREADY FOUND THE ITEM. I don't need the item number either while I'm deciding if I'm going to bid. When I want to see what similar items sold for in recent months, I should be able to press one button, not have to press 7. eBay needs to talk to people who use eBay a lot and maybe get some focus groups to make suggestions for improvements to the mobile app. But by in large the app is functional and does its job. Now stop asking me to review eBay because that banner causes the messages notifications and the followed searches button on the home page not be seen without scrolling down.
I loved using this app up until this week
This app has been great! It makes posting stuff so easy but since Monday (4/20) the 'recommended price' feature hasn't been working. On the regular eBay website it works but on the app it only suggests to post items at $.99 or lower. Doesn't matter what it is, it could be a $500 designer purse, it'll suggest $.99... or a diamond ring, $.99.
I loved this feature before because it helped me to know what to price my items at or where I should tweak words in the title or whatever, but this glitch has made it so much more complicated for me. I now need to use my app and my computer and go back and forth between the two for each listing(because I use my phone to take the pictures and look up stock pictures). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix this!! I tried to explain this to the eBay app customer service on Tuesday (4/21) but they didn't help at all or even know what I was talking about or meant.. It was very frustrating.
