How and why did this updated crAPP end up on my phone

I didn't like the last update, at first, but I got used to it and it worked well. This update makes no sense as far as usability and it looks terrible.

I buy and sell on eBay and the app is my main portal to that world. Being able to upload pics and list items from my phone is great. Same with bidding and comparing prices. For the most part, all of that can be done with the new update. However, trying to find out if you have an email is a pain. My acct. shows items I've sold as current, as if it just sold and requiring attention, although they've been shipped and have been over for a while. That just happened. Last week, in my sold section, I have two items showing as sold, yet only one actually is, the other is a phantom sale. Trying to shop and look for sellers I've saved or to browse items I want is tedious and silly. All in all, this is a terrible app and I won't be using it except to list items. The rest I'll do on Safari or Chrome.

Word to your mothers eBay and others, don't change your apps just because. What's the reason for this updated version? Did your marketing guys say it was needed? Are you bored and can't sit still? Creating motion for the sake of creating motion is stupid and wasteful. My fees paid for your IT clowns to have something to do and you know what? It stinks.

Don't upgrade to 4.0

I've decided to add my voice to the masses in hopes that someone at eBay will listen. As a long time eBay shopper I was instantly unhappy with the latest app upgrade. It's just so much more tedious now. I miss having the tabs at the bottom to navigate to my different sections. Now it seems like everything I want to do requires several extra clicks. Why would it be more user friendly to bury all the options in a pop-out menu rather than having the icons right on the main screen? Putting the back button right next to that menu makes the design even more frustrating. And if I pull out the menu and then click on my followed searches why do I have to click again to actually see them all and not just the first few? That's why I went there! I could go on, but others already have. I am mostly disappointed to see that eBay doesn't seem at all concerned with the outcry from their own faithful users.
Hopefully you are reading these reviews before you make the horrible mistake of upgrading your app. If not, my condolences.

Update: I think this little update with "bug fixes" is just a sneaky way to wipe out the 4000+ negative reviews this new app has gotten in less than a month.

It Just Never Gets Better

I have been using the eBay app for several years now and have been following this "fiasco" since the updated eBay for iPad 3.4.0 app was released in December 2014. It seems with every new release of this app, it just gets worse and worse. I suspect people who have never seen the old 3.3.3 version of the app would think this current version is okay but if you did a side-by-side comparison of the two you would think 3.3.3 is the newer app and 4.0 is the old one. Thankfully eBay removed the iPad only version from the iTunes store so my iPad no longer tries to replace my 3.3.3 version with the newer iPad versions. As it is now, my only interface to eBay is with either the web site or the eBay for iPad app version 3.3.3. Should support for either of those interfaces be eliminated, I will not waste my time trying use eBay. I get extremely frustrated trying to do things in the 4.0 app that I do so easily in the 3.3.3 version. I don't even bother accessing eBay with my iPhone any longer as that is now running 4.0 and is useless to me. The only feature that I find useful is alerts when an auction is ending and that feature has been around for years so is nothing exclusive to 4.0.
