iOS 6 Support
Two things that need fixing:
The dashing sound effect is ear-splitting and sounds nothing like the original game. Is this an audio engine bug or did someone actually find it tolerable when testing this version? It's inexcusable: fix it.
Also, the controls really need some customization options. The apps that have this feature are so much more playable. Also, the d-pad is too inflexible and needs my thumb to actually be precisely on the direction I want to press. On a touch screen, this concept does not work.
It's great that you can get the original Ecco on your iOS device. The controls are a bit difficult, though. Maybe add an analog stick. Next add Defender of the Future! I would buy it instantly!
Avoid at all costs!!
I thought this game would be interesting and fun...and I knew it had a reputation for being difficult... and it is all these. However, when you do figure out how to get around obstacles you still have to deal with the AWFUL controls which can lead to cheap deaths and you having to start the level again!! AVOID THIS GAME...there are other thinking man's games better than this piece of rubbish!!
