OK, but could be better

Good app for connecting to the Echolink environment. I'd love to see some additional features added that would enhance this app's usability. Specifically, I'd like to be able to bookmark/favorite/group those stations/links/repeaters/conferences that I connect to most often. Also, the PTT via spacebar press doesn't seem to work for me for whatever reason. That would be nice to have. Other than that, EchoHam for macOS is pretty nice, but could use some improvements to earn a higher rating from me. 73 DE K2MAS

Thanks for the feedback. As of V2.23 your feature request has been implemented via a "Favourites List". Enjoy the new feature.

Generally works well

I have enjoyred using EchoHam for the past few years, and it has worked pretty well for me. With the most recent version (2.27) a couple of issues have appeared at startup.

At every startup the program now pops up the "Select Region" screen, followed by the "EchoHam Preferences" screen, and then finally the "New In This Version" Screen. This appears to be a new thing, and is kind of annoying.

Aside from that issue , the software works great!

Thanks for your feedback, great to hear the app is working for you. It is possible the improved (automatic) router configuration has solved your issues.

Revised Review

Initially I was unable to use echoham. Gradually over time, I use it regularly. When it does connects, the audio is just a person is standing right beside you.

Multiple times, I see a contact come through, but there's no audio. I started using the proxy mode. once connecting, the dialogue is nice and clear.

Lately no matter what mode I use, the app crashes while having a qso. This has been going on for months. My mac software is up to date and I believe Echoham also up to date (Version 2.29).

Prior to calling cq on echoham, i had started to always to use the test connection. Some how by adopting this protocol, I get more and more contacts.
