Customer Reviews

Do not buy this app

If you aren’t familiar with The Economist apps, they are purely frustrating to use and their amateur build quality does not justify their cost. The other reviews touch on this, but I will add my experience to the pile:

If you are going to charge current subscribers a premium for another app, it makes sense to build an app that stays logged in. That is an obvious and reasonable expectation. Maybe it is a bug that doesn’t get addressed for a few days, but after a few weeks, it is time to find another developer that is a competent professional and reevaluate the process in which they were contracted or hired.

App buggy per usual

I think someone’s cousin at the The Economist must be the head of Economist app development. This app has the same problem as the other app…it’s buggy. I get errors on downloading all the time. In 3 months, I had at least 6 failures to download an episode. It is frustrating as the articles are great, love the content, but the app is unreliable.

Not worth it

I thought this was included in the Digital Subscription. It isn't. I felt ripped off. Customer service didn't even tell me it was a different app until person #4. Really disappointed. NOT PAYING MORE. Apps you'll probably want on your digital device aren't included. Silly.
