Work done right and on time

I have a 3 car driveway and huge sidewalk in front of my house. We got 6 inches of snow where I live. I simply put my address into the app, and in no time a contractor messaged me that he’d be coming in an hour. He showed up with his crew and did a fantastic job! He cleared the complete length and width of the areas I requested to have cleared. Better and faster than any local snow removal companies that I’ve dealt with! Choose Eden if you want the job done right and prompt!!!

Never Trust This Service

I decided to give their snow removal services a try. I emailed ahead of time to make sure I knew exactly what I was booking. I was told that the sub-contractor they choose for the job would be there by 5PM the day of the snow. Around 4, I hadn’t heard, so I sent a message through the app to confirm they were coming.

It turns out they were notified by the sub-contractor at 10:30AM that they wouldn’t be coming and Eden did nothing with that information. When I eventually got Michael Ungar on the phone, he suggested I find someone else or just shovel myself. He couldn’t guarantee anyone would ever show up.

That’s the problem with the “app.” They sub-contract everything out and are at the mercy of the sub-contractor. If they flake/do a poor job/whatever, Eden washes their hands of the situation and moves on. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

Eden? Maybe after the fall

Just say no! I signed up against my better judgment after my area was hit with significant snow. I was unable to do the snow removal myself and was having difficulty finding anyone to do the work. I was uncomfortable having to enter my credit card during the sign-up process since I was unfamiliar with this company.

Ultimately, I couldn’t get agreement from them on the scope of work. In my mind, you can’t have a business agreement unless both parties agree on the scope of work and the cost.

I also found it odd that I couldn’t get a response to the job I posted through the app, yet someone from Eden replied VERY quickly to a Yelp request I sent to a *different* vendor. I received many texts from “Nate” at Eden but none addressed my attempts to confirm the scope of the work. I even called the phone number that was texting me, only to be routed back to Eden‘s customer service department, which is really just an answering service.

I also had difficulty getting Eden to close my account. I’m still concerned that they’ve retained my credit card info.

Stay away from Eden App!
