Needs some work

As a viewer, EdgeView2 here is close to perfect. It's fast and doesn't have distracting UI overlays. It will also automatically load all images in a folder when opening just one of them so I can get to panning through the folder contents.

I had some misgivings I wrote about previously. I had wanted an option to always start up in full screen mode and previously thought there was no hot key to go into full screen mode, but it turns out that there is. Bafflingly, it uses, uh, EMOJIKEY-F rather than the more typical CMD-F. The app gives no way to change this, but I was able to accomplish anyway via the Keyboard prefs in System Preferences. You can also toggle an option to always open in full screen mode, from the View menu. I had expected to find this in the settings, so I'm not sure if I overlooked it here before or if it had been added as an option since I last reviewed.

Another previous beef was that if I deleted an image from within EdgeView, the app continued to display the image in the slideshow as if it hadn't been deleted yet. I don't know if this was fixed in an update, or just didn't notice it, but it actually will now delete the image and update the sldeshow. There's just an unusually long lag on this happening. I could have overlooked this in the past due to the lag, but it's more likely there was an update to fix this behavior. So, an improvement, but the lagginss detracts a bit.

In any event, other than the aforementioned lagginess on deleting, this app is just about perfect now!

Best images management and browser app

This is by far the most functional app I have ever used as a Mac user for a decade. The finder plugin allows you to preview images of the archive without even open it (by creating a thumbnail to the archive file), or preview the first few images of the archive by pressing space bar (quick look). Great for manage lots of archives. The library management tool also allows you to have a sneak peek into the images of folders without even click in, handy. The image/archive viewer is also handy and has basically all the functions you need to enjoy browsing images or comic. Now can’t wait to use Mojave’s dark mode and see how EdgeView applies to it :) Great work Han!

Best App for generating Thumbnails for .cbr, .cbz files

On Catalina, this App will generate Thumbnails reliably for .cbr and .cbz (also for .zip .rar files) correctly and reliably. If you are having problems with that feature with Catalina, then get this App.
