Use the Election Protection App this election season to verify your voter registration, find your polling place, answer frequently asked questions about voting in your state and report any incidents that might prevent you from making your voice heard at the polls.
Great idea, wish I could rate it higher
I hate to give a bad rating to such a fine idea, but the execution doesn't match the aim. Elements are tiny and hard to click, jump around during entry, logical flow is unclear. It took me three attempts to enter my info into the fields, because of the jumping around issue. Then it couldn't find my info (even though I am registered and can confirm this online with the same info). Then it claimed my polling place was not yet determined; this is the day before the election and the polling place has been determined for years. There are many other UI glitches. Unfortunately it looks and acts very amateurish.
This would have sent me to the wrong polling place. I entered my current address and it brought up an old one. I've been registered at this address for six months, have already voted here in a primary election, and am confident my registration is in proper order for several other reasons (sample ballots sent to current address, my name on the rolls at right place, being canvassed by a local candidate working off the voter rolls, etc.).
I tried to submit a report in the app, but the entry form stopped being edit-able before I was done, and on the second try the submit button wasn't responsive. I don't think my report was even sent.
My smartphone is a voter tool..cool
Easy to use app. Was able to help my friends and family with registration info without getting up from the couch. All voters should use it!!!
