Email Contacts Extractor

By Hermes Pique

Open the Mac App Store to buy and download apps.

Extract all the email addresses from your messages in Mail or Outlook 2011 for Mac. Works with Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook and any other service that can be added to your email client via POP or IMAP.

Email Contacts Extractor scans all your email messages and extracts both email address and name of your contacts from the From, To, Bcc, Cc and Reply-To header fields. Without duplicates and by ignoring the most common robot accounts.

The result is a CSV file that can be opened in Numbers, Excel or OpenOffice, or imported to MailChimp or Apple Contacts. It allows you to sort your contacts by name, last message date, rating or even contact frequency.

The app is perfect for:

* Creating a personal mailing list
* Backup all your contacts before closing an account
* Gaining insight about your email usage. Who are your most frequent contacts? Who did you email with in the last year?

Planning to send a mass email to your contacts? Email Contacts Extractor is designed to minimize the bounce and complaint rate of your mailing list:

* No duplicates
* Robot accounts such as “no-reply@” are ignored
* Customize the blacklist to ignore emails from a certain domain (ie: your company)
* Filter out meager contacts with automatic ratings

You can also filter your list manually: the app counts how many time each contact appears in the From, To, Cc, Bcc and Reply-To fields of incoming and outgoing email, and this can also be included in the resulting CSV file.

Customer Reviews

I Couldn’t be Happier - Thank You!!! :)

This app does:

1. EXACTLY what it says it will do

2. Is extremely easy to use

3. Saved me hours/days - I had just over 36,000 emails and started going through them one by one to get the email addresses from each of them. Then I wondered if there was an app that would do the work for me. I was surprised to find one that advertised that it did this (this app). It was a gamble because it costs $20 but I thought it was worth the risk. The app advertises that it will extract the addresses in minutes - but for me, it completed the task in under 30 seconds. I pulled up the file it created and it was exactly what I needed and what the advertisement said it would do. This was the best $20 I have ever spent and this is one of the very very few reviews I ever make for an app that I have purchased.

In short - if you’re looking for an app that will extract the email addresses from the messages in your mail app - without any doubt in the world, I can tell you that by purchasing this app - it will be the best $20 you will ever spend.

A very happy customer :)

This software worked… but...

I can not really complain. The software worked well on my Macmail email boxes. It sorted out names, domain names, and email addresses. However, if you apply it to your own email box which may be full of spam, and personal contacts - well, have fun editing. For me, 90% was business contacts, maybe more, and so it was worth the one time payment. Honestly, I could not find anything else that would have done the job as well for the price. Thanks to the programmers for working through the problems the way they did.

Simple and does what it says

I am shifting to a new ISP and needed to list all the contacts so I could decide which contacts I needed to inform of my new email or let go. I had 14,960 emails and it extracted the name and email address of 1260 contacts in a few minutes. From list I opened the CSV file in excel and it was a much easier task because of this app. Worth the price.
