Engineering Assistant contains a multitude of useful tools for the engineer, scientist, and student. Extensive units conversion, materials property database, and a free-form functions and formula database are included. The most important aspect of Engineering Assistant is that it allows you to edit and add data that best fits your needs.

The conversion tool is linked to the materials database so that you can view and copy property data in many different units. The materials database allows variable property data, such as conductivity vs temperature. The functions database allows you the freedom to create your own project hierarchies with just about any information you want. Entries for function information can include web links, graphics & pictures, other documents, and movies. Engineering Assistant will be a welcome addition to your engineering and academic work.

Variable property data can be plotted to the screen, then exported to a graphics file or printed directly from the app.

Create your own project tracking databases and keep all of your work, school, and home project data in one convenient place. Use DropBox to synch your data to all of your Macs.

New easy-access buttons for quickly enabling / disabling the editing interface. New database management tools.

Your data will remain under your control: By setting a personal password to enable data editing, you can allow others to use Engineering Assistant on your personal Macintosh, without letting them alter any of the data.

Engineering Assistant V 1.2.5, Great App for the money

I first purchased this application back in 1996 when I was running OS9 on myPower Mac G3. In my Enginnering field, I found it was the most complete source for conversions, engineering properties, and formulas available at that time. When I upgraded to my iMac running OS10 I could no longer use this app or contact the software developer and stopped looking. When I purchased my iPad and iPhone I downloaded several of the available conversion software apps, but have been extremely disappointed with what is available on these platforms. Out of flustration, I renewed my search and came across this version of Engineering Assistance available on the iMac platform by the original developer. It has the same easy to use user friendly interface with a more extensive database then the the original OS9 application. I just hope that the developer of this app will modify it to run on the iPad and iPhone platforms.

Simple and to the point

I just bought a Macbook pro 15 inch with retina display and this was one of the first apps I downloaded. This app is simple to use, and very easy to understand. I will be studying engieering at SUNY Maritime and looked for apps that would help me and this app seems very promising. Everything is very organized and will make classes and studying much easier. I highly reccomend this app for anybody who is needing a perfect app for any math or science class, not just engineering.

Don't know how I did without it for so long!

Great application! I keep it open all day at work. No more flipping through books searching for the conversions I need. Program is flexible and adding data is a snap. The database of constants is thorough and the functions and formulas come in handy. I need a version of this for my iPad!
I can't wait for their next piece of software.
