Entanglement is a game that has gained a fair bit of popularity lately.
You are given a hexagonal tile with six paths printed on it, with two path ends touching each side of the hexagon. One such tile is as follows:
You may rotate, but not move the hexagon that has been provided to you.
Once you have selected an orientation of the hexagon, a path is traced along that hexagon, and you are provided a new hexagon that you may rotate at the end of your current path.
The goal of the game is to create the longest path possible without running into either the centre hexagon or the outer edge of the game board.
It seems very simple at first glance. But give it a try and you'll see just how challenging it can be.
Update fixed issues!!! but why no expansion
They seem to have updated it and the rotate and swap buttons do work now!! At least they do for me. You just have to be careful not to touch the screen elsewhere by accident because the tile gets accepted and it can mess you up. It would be nice if they added an accept tile button so you would only do it when you intend to.
Also In the PC version there are options for extra boards and There aren't any of those in this version of the game. It would be really cool if they made an option to be able to buy the extra maps because I might play them.
Anyway this is a really fun game and I play it all the time now that it works the way it's supposed to.
No sound, poor UI
I'm on a 9.7" iPad Pro. 95% of my end games are due to tapping the screen in the wrong place, not a strategic decision. There needs to be an OK button that specifically sets the tile. Maybe move the rotations to the outer left and right areas. The rotation buttons obscure pathways. It's also continually confusing to tract paths that cross at close angles... hard to determine what the path will be. Color would fix that. Color while you can rotate then back to black when it's set and red when game is over.
It really does work after all..
I too thought this was a broken app. After I downloaded it and hit the open button it didn't work for me either. But! If you power down your iPad, and boot it up again, entanglement works.
