Epicurious Recipes & Shopping List

By Condé Nast Digital

Open iTunes to buy and download apps.

Packed with free features and more than 30,000 of the highest-quality recipes, there’s a reason why home cooks have downloaded the award-winning Epicurious app more than 10 million times since the App Store opened. And our latest version is the ultimate food utility, faster, friendlier and redesigned to be even easier to use.

With our latest release, the app features the world's first intelligent kitchen timer for the Apple Watch. (Don't worry, iPhone users — it works on the phone, too.) Choose from 40+ ingredients from one of five categories — steak, vegetables, chicken & pork, seafood, eggs — and our custom timer will tell you how long just about anything takes to cook. We'll remind you to flip something over and give you pointers on how to tell when it's cooked perfectly.

Finally, an answer to the question: "Hey, is this done yet?"

You can also:

• Store your favorite recipes across all your devices with our recipe box and shopping list.

• Search more than 30,000 of the best recipes from publishers like Gourmet, Bon Appetit, Random House, and more—for free.

• Find out what vegetables are fresh and in-season with our Seasonal Ingredient Finder. NOTE: This features uses your location.

• Go hands-free in the kitchen, using your voice to control the app with Cook Mode.

• Browse inspired recipe collections that update as the seasons change and holidays approach.

We highly recommend you upgrade your operating system on a regular basis. The new Epicurious app for iPhone and iPad works best on IOS 8.

We want you to have a great experience. Please contact us at with any feedback and questions.

The old gray mare just ain't like she used to be

This WAS a great app, but it ain't no more!! After reading a great deal of feedback submitted by all the many others, I'm happy to say that I haven't experienced any of the issues they have with the Epicurious app. Uh,Uh,Uh.....not so fast CondeNast, that doesn't mean you're off the hook quite yet. It's my turn now to speak up about about a different kind of issue I keep having. Each and every time I try printing out a recipe from my iPhone app, it won't. Instead of printing, I a screen appears that says something to the effect of, "we're aware of the issue and we're working on it, please be patient." My Lord, exactly how long is it going to take to bring the printing feature back? It's been AWOL for several months now, SO FIX IT ALREADY WOULD YOU PLEASE? I'm getting tired of being patient.

Terrible and unacceptable in today's world

Please help me understand for a moment why there is no aggregated shopping list on the website? Okay fine so I open up the mobile app that I've used quite a bit. Why are the recipes in the mobile app not syncing to the website AND VISE VERSA? I have different recipes on each now. If you can't build this integration in house there are a plethora of companies that can do this. I don't understand the point of logging into epicurious on web and mobile if they don't talk to each other. Isn't this the point of cloud computing and mobile applications Conde Nast? I'm hesitant to even call this an amateur implementation because tons of startups get this right and don't have the budget afforded anything like you do. Absolutely shameful! Nice artwork though. Maybe stick to what you know and farm out this app stuff.

So far at least the update doesn't work much at all on an IPad with the software up to date. You get some cheesy looking pictures on a menu. When I try to open a recipe all I get is a blank page with the loading symbol spinning around forever. I don't have the recipes I saved on the old app and can't add any new ones either. Not good.

Amending the review a bit. It finally seems to have opened. The illustrations are still pretty cheesy looking. They don't make me want to rush to the kitchen and cook. The recipes seem decent and from what I have looked at would come in under healthy eating. Maybe a bit too much. Preferred Gojee.
