Ergo Timer is about staying aware and remembering to take breaks.
This app is useful for people:
-Dealing with stress and needing to remember to take breaks and Breath.
-Dealing with repetitive stress injuries (RSI) and needing to stop and stretch.
-Anyone trying to increase awareness throughout the day.
This release includes:
-out of app notifications for your reminders (*see notes below*)
-Reminder alarm, you can set this for the beginning of your work day to remind you to launch the application.
-Chakra Community integration allowing you to visit Chakra Community, Read the Blogs and join in the mindfulness discussion.
-4 Sound options (more details below)
-Customizable Messages (part of the feature pack)
-Configurable notices can be set as frequent as 5 minute increments.
-Custom start and end hours for work. (whether you work an 8 hour day or a 12 hour day, we've got you covered)
The notification system is designed to allow you to leave the application for short periods of time. The free version allows for 3 out of app notifications. When those notices run out, simply launch the app again and when you leave the app the next 3 notifications will be scheduled automatically. Additional notifications are available with the feature pack. Upgrading to the feature pack allows for 10 out of app notifications.
There are current 4 sounds available in ergo timer. The free version allows you to use these 4 sounds for the reminder alarm. For the free version of the app the default sound for the reminder is the chime. As part of the feature pack you can choose which sound you want to hear for the ergo reminders.

Ergo timer is intended to be interacted with and a reminder to take a break, as opposed to an app you simply turn on and forget. With this in mind the alarms are designed to operate for the day. Alarms for the next day need to be scheduled at the end of the day, after your designated work hours, or at the beginning of the next day.
The schedule your alarms you simply need to run the application with the "Generate Notifications" flag set to "On". This flag is found on the information screen accessible through the 'i' button. Opening the app and closing it schedules your next notifications.

I have a desk job & have for many years. I did not know it was so bad on my body. I was told I needed to get up every 20 minutes & stretch. This timer is so helpful & I think it has made this change much easier.
Simple reminder app, but check developers other apps
See my reviews for "MantraMinder", and "chakra chime"before selecting this app, to get a feel for the difference between all three. MantraMinder earned four stars, and chakra chime gleaned five in my evaluation.
Looks like they really want you to purchase something else. Only 30 minute intervals. If this is enough, then this may be good for you. I'm looking for more frequent breaks.
